Are you dense? I am not using injuries as an excuse or trying to say that the Pens haven’t had equal injuries. I am simply saying that the specific players we lost account for ALL of our teams BALLS and Pittsburgh’s roster has plenty of balls to go around. Why are you stuck with this cancelling each other’s injuries out schtick? I’m just saying that the Rangers have no one who can play playoff style hockey healthy.

Playoff hockey is a myth. It’s the same game. “Playoff hockey” “playoff experience” two of the stupidest things that are constantly repeated in hockey circles. You know why experienced teams win more than guys who aren’t experienced in the playoffs? It’s not because they’re experienced. yeah but what about goaltending, offense, faceoffs and coaching? They haven't been horrendous?

You take care of the House first and foremost. The horrendous defensive zone play leads to terrible breakouts, tired players, and zero flow. Much harder to get anything going offensively when you're this, to put it lightly, generationally putrid in the d-zone.

The d-zone play is the main takeaway here, which makes it most worth mentioning. Just because he didn't mention goaltending, faceoffs, etc, doesn't mean they weren't also bad.

I disagree. I think the rebuild needs to start turning a corner regardless.

The McDonagh trade was four years ago. You have to get actually better at some point.

I just think we need two centers at least and I don’t see the value in trying to overpay for a 27 year old. I think you’ve either gotta steal one in the draft, and you help yourself by moving up, and/or trade for a guy like Wyatt Johnston out of Dallas, someone in that Tier who isn’t too far away but you can swap with a team who wants something else you have.

I don’t think you need to trade every veteran just to move them out but I do think you need to fill your future holes with precedence over making runs now, because as we see the “now” is no good.
