To be fair, that was a bad time to need a quality center. Robert Thomas I guess but nobody was taking him at 7.

We also won two lotteries when the absolute burn-down-Manhattan-if-we-don't-take-them consensus picks were wingers.

I don't think we need to move mountains. I think we need a guy that specializes in faceoffs and defense. Antione Vermette would be nice (not literally him, he's like 46, but somebody like him).

I was interested in trying Goodrow in that role, but it seems like the Rangers actually shelled out all that money for a 4th line wing. That's a perplexing move in retrospect.

Radek Faska is my choice. I'd empty the cupboard for him and Johnson or Stankoven from Dallas.

1000% deserved. Joe is just such a company man. You rarely hear him give it to the team like this (I can think of maybe a handful of times).

I have come to truly love Joe as an announcer, here. And when he's open and honest like this? Nothing better.

I feel like with Zibs you need a VERY strong 2nd line center. To me, it's fine if your 1st line center isn't as good as another as long as your 2nd line center is better.
