17 goals against in not even 4 games played. Pitt are just throwing pucks at the net. This is a meltdown of epic proportions.
You aren't refuting my point. You can't blame goalies for deflections. The one soft one was the lengthy shift where he got beat 5 hole. Everything else has been brutal defense and being left out to dry.

Why was Lundkvist banished to AHL, can he be as bad as Braun and Nemeth?

Why did we dump Kravtsov and Buchnevich? Why did McKegg not just remain here but played so many games?

As far as random error works in stats? Maybe. It’s obviously a small sample size in any given series.

Still, on balance a better goalie will still be a better goalie in the playoffs over their career, even if for any one game it’s not a perfect predictor
Nobody melted down in the playoffs more than Brodeur and Roy. It's just an up and down position.

He's fine. He's a good goaltender.

I wouldn't re-sign him but again, that's later.

At this point, just bring in Othmann and tell him to just shoot. Wherever he is on the ice. If he's in his own zone? Shoot the puck. If he's behind the net? Shoot the puck. If he's scratched? Shoot the puck from the box. Just shoot the f***ing puck.

Draft more guys that will just shoot the f***ing puck. And re-sign Vatrano.

I want a triggerman on every single line. At least one guy who can shoot and will shoot.

They were 48.1% in the regular season.
The Panthers were 48.2%.
The Wild were 47.6%
The Avalanche were 47.3%
The Capitals were 47.1%

Faceoffs aren't the problem. The Penguins were 51.1%. You want to tell me you can tell the difference of 3 faceoff wins per 100 tries?

The difference is the Pens guys apparently can raise their level when needed. Not every face off is created equally

Relax fellas.

Goodrow
Lindgren
Motte
Blais

Copp playing at 50%

It's too much to overcome. Yeah I know their third string goalie is in net but he has played well above expectations. It's not our year. Gotta stay healthier than this for the playoffs
Do you not think injuries will happen next year ? In fact I will put money that too 6 guys will possibly be hurt as well. This team is intact enough to be playing way better

We will be eliminated before he's even eligible to be called up

Can't call up a junior player until their season ends.

Bench everyone and goon it up. Sometimes it's sweet to send some f***er to the hospital.

Feel bad for Igor, doubt were going back to Pittsburgh but would be nice if he could make the crowd to shut up.

This team has a long way to go. A lot of manin up to do.

Good night.
Yeah I was hoping that puck hit Kreider in the throat too. I agree.

Hopefully by this time next year, Lafreniere and Kakko are ready, and given the opportunity, to take the team by the balls. There's a very good reason no captain has been named to this point.

My 2 cents: On the ice, a riot should have broken out at the end of game two when Carter bumped/tripped Shesterkin.
From the start of this game our team is skating like a bunch of old, out-of-shape men.
Let’s hope for a strong third and a fresh start in Manhattan.

It's where and when you win out lose them, not how many you win. I personally had 3 ways to win a draw, i used my best method sparingly and only on important draws. It matters, the percentage doesn't

As it turns out, when you're matching up against the same good team night after night, and they get a chance to exploit you, the problems have been the same problems they were all season.

Poor possession play. Black holes on defense. No actual centers.

The feeling we had during the season is gone.

Losing Motte.Goodrow.Lindgren killed the PK.

For me personally I knew after the Rangers goal was overturned in game 1 —thinking of course the Penguins and Crybaby Crosby who has done nothing but light us up every game.

Let Strome go—bye did nothing this series. Have to sign Copp.

Chytil and Geo go hopefully there’s enough money for Copp and Motte.

Sorry boys and girls but next season there will be changes. Just not our season yet.
