lol. Whatever, you're always right.

Not even that. It's frustrating to see someone complain and hate even when they did right tonight. They didn't give up playing. There are needs for improvement but they did right tonight as well. Stop trying to get attention by harping on how bad they are.

Flaws or not--we won and you have to build on the positives out of winning the game and there were positives. This was one of those bend but don't break wins and we got good performances from Boyle, Brassard, Moore and some unexpected sources like Asham---and a pwp goal and a goal from Stepan, Nash. These are just some things to build off.

True, I think you're right. Callahan looked off, seemingly due to frustration. It really made him standout in the wrong way tonight.

Hagelin had a few turnovers, gave up on plays along the half boards, and missed a lot of passes due to having his stick off the ice. Wasn't happy with neither he or Callahan's effort (never thought I'd say that) for the majority of the game.

FWIW, I honestly didn't notice Hagelin that much. You may be right.

while disappointing that the puck didn't hit him, he's got to see the shot for me to think that he's given up a bad goal.

He never saw that 3rd goal.

Can't blame him for that

You can if you are Jonathan.

No matter how many great saves Henrik makes, this guy only remembers and comments on the ones he lets in. Then he'll criticize you for saying anything bad about the rest of the team. Only Henrik can be dumped on in a win or loss!

Finally get to eat some OvenChicken tonight. Win Wednesday and this is a series. I said Caps in 5, prove me wrong

The Caps own the puck because Torts' mind-numbing philosophy allows it. So I'm not going to give the Caps any credit for "dominating". They had the puck 4/5 of every game and don't do much with it.

I hate to say it but either a 1-2-2 trap or a 2-1-2 heavy forecheck would make quick work of Washington.

But no. Let's dump then collapse 5 guys below the circles.

Win Game 4.

Hagelin needs to take a game to get his legs back. He has been helpless out there without them.

Zuccarello? Lads, without him we don't win today. I know that goes for several players including Brassard, but that we got him essentially for free has been a big move for this team.

Sorry Jonathan, but every time I read Brass God on this board...

I just always hear the SARD clashing violently with GOD

Olesky's elbow was the result of a good forecheck by Brassard. Holtby's trip was the result of good forechecking by Nash. Shocking -- we forecheck well and we get penalties.

But no. Clearly our team ****ing sucks.
Right, because Washington is going to control the puck completely, for the entire game. Neither penalty was necessary. I never said the team sucked. The first 40 minutes were very poor. I'm as excited about this win as anyone, but they need to be better.

Who says "only?" I have given specific examples of penalties that came off of hard play and forecheck. All you have done is say that our team sucked. I get that you want to take the easier route (be lazy and just yell about ****), but you should try being objective.

No, you as usual try to be devils advocate to show that you were seeing something that everyone else didn't ...... I am happy we won but am not nieve enough to blindly see that we are playing desperate hockey and were beaten to pucks for a majority of the game, at some points we could not get out of our zone.

If your analysis is that we dominated because we got more penalties, then why watch the game, look at the box score.

Lol, funny story guys.

After the game, I'm leaving MSG, and there is Kreider and Gordie Clark. So obviously, I wanted an autograph. Went up, and no one had a sharpie. The pen that Gordie had didn't work. No autograph for me! Anyway, told Kreider that I hope he plays in the series, Gordie said he does too. Then, I asked if the MSG workers had a sharpie and they said that its policy that they don't give me one.
Did you hear that guys? Not only is Jimmy Dolan raising ticket prices, he also has a No Sharpie policy, lol.

Also, Eddie G snubbed me of an autograph. That was upsetting.

Oh, and in b4 Kershaw tells me that a CK autograph has negative value.

I still think bringing Zucc back was the best move they made. Gabby trade is certainly looking better however.

I'm very happy with the win and I thought this was a very good playoff game.

That said, I am not satisfied because I think we could be doing a much better job.

Caps are a very good team and well coached. Lundqvist matches Ovie, other wise I think we have the edge in personnel. But it's close...

get it done

We need to clobber one of their forwards coming over the blue line

That is something that no team should ignore. It makes the other team feel hunted, and it makes you feel good when you clobber them. You don't want to be stupid about it, but lock your vision on the body and slam the guy.

Actually it seems to me that most people saw that we played well today. A few vocal people do not see it.

Glad to see that you have not given a single shred of evidence for why we played so poorly.

We had some very good 5-on-5 moments since we scored two goals at ES and got all of our PPs from our pressure at ES.

So Ovechkin's line pinned us in the zone a few times. Guess what? That's going to happen. He's a SUPERSTAR player. When he's on his game, he can dominate at times. But the team didn't wilt or let him beat them.

Clearly they played horrible. You got me. :shakehead

I think you may have forgotten the sarcasm smiley, though. You couldn't possibly be serious.

Wasn't only the Ovi line that kept us pinned in

QFT.

A lot of you need to take a step back and stop hoping for us to fail so you can push your personal agendas until after we're actually out of it. Seriously, getting old. Why even watch this team if you just want them to fail so you can be right?
I'm generally pretty positive. They weren't very good tonight. This is a place to talk about the game right?

They get penalized because of the Rangers forcing the issue + the Caps are a cocky team.

What I see is a Caps team that has a speed advantage over the Rangers + AO/Green. Rangers won tonight with perseverance and heart
I agree with you
