Post-Game Talk: ECQF Game 3: WSH at New York Rangers - Swiss Cheese Neckbeard

Girardi was running it, in full reverse. The guy plays so many minutes he should never be out there with a man advantage.

At least he was relegated to the 2nd unit.

Interesting...draft day may end interesting after all.

Pretty much. I love getting Moore in that Gabby deal. What a revelation on the point, there. As much as I like Brassard, Moore will be the real gem.

I just love that low, hard shot he has. Drool-worthy.

Only way to generate rebounds is with his kind of low hard shot...now if we can consistently get someone in front of the net like we did tonight, this team could generate more offense consistently.

If Brassard can continue to do this, we won't even need to shop for another pivot when we buy out Richards. It opens up a plethora of other opportunities with that money.

Yeah, when it's hard to decide who was the best player NYR got back, you know it's a good one.

Yep. I wonder what he said in the locker room. It was nice seeing a complete period.

This. The 3rd period showed flashes of the resilient team we saw in the regular show. Obviously there are flaws. They have to fix them and work the kinks out. But if they play hard again and Hank cleans up (D needs to let him see more shots. There were 2 today that went in off our own guys I think...) we're looking at a more even playing field.

Agreed.

Funny thing is, after Girardi saw it working for Moore he had a couple nice, low shots of his own. If Moore can inspire the guys around him to shoot better, it'd be a nice help. Del Zotto needs to take lessons.

As I posted on another thread a while ago, I really doubt that Girardi feels good being out there on the PP. It's just not his thing.
Great if he can be relieved of that duty.
I thought he played well tonight, so much better than Game 2 where I questioned so many things he did.

Del Zotto needs to quit being so indecisive. That's his Achilles' heel.

How did Staal play? I'm in Malaysia, won't be able to watch any of the playoffs...

Had some rust but that should have been expected...like any sport can't simulate game speed in practice...

Im sure going into the season we all expected that the keys to our first playoff win would be Brain Boyle, John Moore and Derick Brassard :confused

Lundqvist saying **** you how's it feel to be let down with that 3rd goal and the F's finally do the job. Familiar lament: Should be 2-1 Rangers not Caps

Ack. No Pathos in the playoffs.

It's 2-1 Caps. NYR need to win the next game. It's what happens when you go down 2-0.

Does anyone else get infuriated when the Ford Focus commerical gets played every other commercial break??? Damn it's annoying...
