Agreed.

Funny thing is, after Girardi saw it working for Moore he had a couple nice, low shots of his own. If Moore can inspire the guys around him to shoot better, it'd be a nice help. Del Zotto needs to take lessons.

Girardi had a pretty decent shot a couple of seasons ago on the PP, don't know what happened.

At least he was relegated to the 2nd unit.

Pretty much. I love getting Moore in that Gabby deal. What a revelation on the point, there. As much as I like Brassard, Moore will be the real gem.

Agreed, and it makes you wonder if they are thinking about dealing Del Zotto or Girardi. Obviously we're short on RD, and G is a warrior, but he's close to 30, and maybe we can swing a deal around Girardi and a prospect for a guy like Eberle. Just thinking out loud, there.

being down 2-0 means nothing when it becomes 2-1, had we split in wash and lost tonight, game 4 is still a "must win" bc you dont want to go down 3-1

Johnny Moore might be my new favorite player if for no other reason than he takes good shots on the PP. It's that much of a miracle.

Only way to generate rebounds is with his kind of low hard shot...now if we can consistently get someone in front of the net like we did tonight, this team could generate more offense consistently.

Yep. I'll only add that he actually hits the net, in addition to shooting smart (low). Also, he wants that puck; Awesome. I think he 's the only Ranger who actually wants the puck.

His emergence has me wondering what kind of return they could get for Del Zotto, especially from a team like Edmonton. And I like DZ. Potentially factor that into the inevitable Richards buy out, might actually have a good team in a couple years! :sarcasm:

Did you see the stat that the Caps are the only franchise with a losing record after taking a 2-0 lead in a playoff series...5-9 all time.

It's amazing how starved we all our for a defenseman who can shoot confidently on the point. It's not even like he's Sheldon Souray out there, just smart and confident. Other things NYR fans are starved for.:(

Plus, if he bobbles the puck at the blue line, he can get back on defense due to his fantastic skating. (i.e. 1st period he got back and prevented a breakaway).

We agree on something! A couple of bounces and it is 2-1 us. Ultra close series.

Not when you look at fenbro, bro.

Nice to see a few more people happy around here, this series is closer than it seems.

Ovechkin has 2 points, he's not running away with the series as much as NBC wants you to believe.

Loved it then, and love it even more now.

I liked it when it happened as well. Everyone was freaking out, but I don't think people knew how good Moore was, and I also think people didn't realize that Brassard was a hard-working player. They thought he was a talented malcontent. It's been the opposite. I think Brassard has really fit in with this team, and even though I heavily criticize Torts for his system/structure, I love how he's handled Brassard, and Moore, as well. He's been great for those two, he put them in ample situations early, they responded, and he's rewarded them.

Another weak performance by DZ, and it looks like I saw a different Stralman than most of you. Moore and Staal did great to cover their mistakes. Staal was playing both ****ing sides for a lot of the game

I think if they keep it at 3 or less penalties a game, they could win in 7. Doesn't mean I'm very confident, just think that's what it will take. (part of, anyway).

lol @ "fenbro"

I thought Stralman had a decent game. I agree with you on DZ, though.

He's got to play better, Moore has taken his spot.
