Making the playoffs, might have been the worst thing to happen to this team. It could mean Tortsfacepalm
every Rangers' writer has said during the season Torts job is SAFE even if they miss the playoffs. So Torts is not and will not be going anywhere...
My own opinion is that Torts will be let go if the Rangers are not doing well midway through next season.
Right now, Rangers just need some confidence. Get a two goal lead and that will help!

Don't get me wrong, I'm mad we couldn't score. I'm mad at our coach. I'm baffled at how stupid our team is.
But good lord, the way we lost was so fitting for this franchise. People always joke "only the Rangers", but my god, how long does it need to occur for it to actually be a reality? Things actually don't work out here.
I told everyone I was watching it with that when McD got the puck behind the net that we weren't going to get it out of the zone. How I was wrong, it was twice as bad as that.
You simply can't make stuff up like this. It's so unfair to be a fan of this ****ing team.

I don't feel bad for him. I didn't feel bad for Richards either when he had his cry session after the Flyers game either. Man up. All of them. Score some ****ing goals.
I feel for him. Torts did put him in a rough spot. After the goal, you can see it on his face.
Hopefully he has a fire under him and just locks the Caps down when he's on the ice now.
Gotta be positive. Negativity will only beat you down.

just got back from the ****ing game. **** **** ****. met up with a few hfnyr fans pregame. then it all went down ****ing hill, the fan base is ****ing brutal. i was in line waiting to take a piss, and the whole ****ing pissing line was arguing who will be their shootout lineup. me and this other ranger fan were like....what.the.****. are you talking about. ****ing bandwagon ****ers. **** i'm so pissed.

This team is underperforming. They aren't playing up to the level they should, and 1-0 is not an accurate reflection of how bad they were. This is 100% an internal problem. Question is, what is the problem?

Guys, one of the big reasons Torts was axed from Tampa Bay was that he was having a very hard time adjusting the lightning's transition game to post 05 lockout NHL.
The elimination of the two line pass killed Torts coaching ability. Its manifested with the Rangers as well. The difference is that Torts has a goaltender who can cover his mistakes.
I pray that ownership acts if the Rangers get swept out of the playoffs.

Yeah great argument. Our offense was inept today. We've seen how well they can play in the offensive zone at times and today was not one of them. Horrible decisions with the puck all game long.
Caps won on a PP goal...but..When we had the PP in OT...the Caps got a better chance to score than we did....We gotta pick it up...Hope some adjustments are made for game 3...all in all...LGR!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't cry. Be pissed. Teammates playing like ****, scared. I'm not calling out McD for showing his emotions, but you're better off just being pissed.
Hopefully, we come out playing dirty come Game 3. Caps have gotten away with a lot of ********; we need to do so as well.

That PP was brutal. I was so annoyed when Brass shot the puck right into Fehr.
I take the blame for the 0-2 hole. Rangers never win when I take my mom grocery shopping, 6:30pm Thursday night my mom asked me to take he grocery shopping. Right before OT today was the same story lol. Didn't stop me from punching my door when I turned on the TV and when it started up I saw the caps celebrating 
Nothing less than 2 wins at MSG will be acceptable, if Torts is serious about being "done" maybe he'll let the forwards play instead of being mindless drones. The caps play the same defensive style everyone rags on us for, but at the same time they only do that in the defensive zone because they're allowed and encouraged to go for it

Regardless, you guys can not being calling each others character into question or getting personal. Rip apart the Capitals, the Rangers, Torts, the ice, opposing posters points but not each other.
