Making the playoffs, might have been the worst thing to happen to this team. It could mean Torts () will hang around one more year. He's a pathetic excuse for a coach.....and a ********.

If I'm Torts () would I risk Staal's well being just so we have a better chance at pulling off a miracle? Not a chance.

If we win Game 3, then maybe Torts () can reconsider.

Bottom line: This team can win. He just isn't getting enough out of them.

this isn't a staal's well being, Staal has said he just wants to feel comfortable enough that he can contribute, so it is on him to decide when that is. His vision is still blurried and may not fully come back for 4-6 months from what I've read from various sources not too long ago.

So I think we see Staal and Clowe both in the lineup on Monday night....they'll be needed! Will be a HUGE boost!

Who said anything about a goal being scored? You were beaten and bailed out. Never once said anything about a goal.

Sorry - I'm with you in thinking the offense wasn't that bad today outside of the overtime.

But on normal shots on goal that hit the post, this is just wrong in my mind (not considering plays where a player hits a post on an open net after beating the goalie with a move). People are articulating it poorly though. Think about it this way: The goalie is in net. The player is looking at what they have to shoot at. In the vast majority of cases where players hit the post it is because the goalie has taken away the angle/shot, so the shooter is left with virtually no net to shoot at. The majority of the time, it is something the goalie is doing that is causing the player to hit the post. It isn't like the player is finding a big opening and just failing.

It simply was a bad move by Tortorella to put that on McDonagh. Not fair to to put that on your player.
Sorry, but it was stupid and arrogant.

Chris Kreider came up last year and played his game and scored . Now that torts got ahold of him and changed his game he can't even beat boyle out for a spot on this team. There is a reason when we make a trade everyone wants him everyone else sees his potential except torts. Bring him back and put him on the 2nd line and just let him loose i thought he had some of our best chances in game one. He cant do any worse what 1 goal in 7 periods so far .

And I know our puck luck usually sucks but it seems to suck way too often. We seriously can't be that unlucky.

When does it stop being bad puck luck and start being just an inability to finish? I blame the latter.

#NYR Emotions high in Rangers room after loss. Ryan McDonagh clearly very upset. Fighting back tears during interviews.

Crocadile tears. Meaningless.

Except our offense didn't really suck today (except in OT where the entire team sucked for some reason -- that PP was laughable). Most of the loss is attributed to puck luck. Absolutely. We get the puck in instead of the post and we win the game. Not that difficult to see that.

How can you say our offensive didst suck today? They were making horrible decisions and bad passes all game long, losing puck battles, not getting bodies in front of Holtby, shooting pucks right into Holtby, we have no offensive game plan or creativity. It's really hard to watch. Our offense was pathetic today.

Tears? I wanna see sticks broken, trash cans smashed against walls, and water coolers destroyed.

That is brutal. It would be utterly horrific to put a player out that long at the start of the game, when a player is rested, but to do it in OT after he played a full game... ****ing brutal coaching

Played a whole game defending the hottest and one of the most dynamic, physical players in the game to boot.

If this series finishes out this way I have no faith in John Tortarella...but of course I have no faith in our braindead ownership to make the appropriate changes either.

Hope I'm horribly wrong...but nothing about today's game shows me we can take games 3 and 4 at the Garden.

According to most people its all kreider fault. Everyone expect him to score 2 goals every game play 5 minutes on the 4th line

Lol. How about the entire team doesn't act like a bunch of primadonnas and score a ****ing goal on Braden Holtby?

Because it didn't (save overtime when it definitely did suck)?
