if rooney comes out than mckegg is probably the one going in to offset the loss of rooney for pk. given that I am fine with rooney in the lineup...
@EdJovanovski is under Kravtsov's bed.The Rangers knew they couldn't ruin my day on Tuesday, although they f***ing tried.
Today, they know I'm gonna be under their bed.
No Rakell or DeSmith.
No excuses to lost this game. You can't lose on home ice in a situation like this. Pittsburgh knows all the pressure is on the Rangers so I'm expecting them to be loose and to play very well.
We may get pity taken upon us by Leafs fans...maybe.If nothing else, think about the optics of getting eliminated by a 3rd string goalie.
That's as much something learned as anything else. How many playoff games did Mitch Marner go without a goal before he dominated game 1? Drai and McDavid came up big--after botching game 1, after getting swept last year, etc. Kaprizov last night breaks through, got shut out the game prior and the only other series he played in.I go back to the smashmouth description again. Our elite guys, our skill guys, whatever you wish to call them, are not smashmouth type of players. Will vs skill. Killer instinct. Some of the plays ive seen from elite and top players on other teams in the games so far demonstrate how far different our top guys are. They will rip a shot from anywhere. I see Draisaitl taking a bad angle shot versus waiting for a perfect one so his teammates can maybe pounce on a rebound. Tarasenko ripping it from everywhere. The only spot where Mika would not hesitate to rip one, in contrast, is on the PP and preferably from the left circle.
In Minn-StL game 2, Weekes commented that the Wild turned things around because in Game 1 they were trying to be artists. Game 2, they started being willing to pay the price.
The jury is still out on some of the 'big guns' on this team ability to alter their East-West into more North-South. Well know alot more after game 2.In Minn-StL game 2, Weekes commented that the Wild turned things around because in Game 1 they were trying to be artists. Game 2, they started being willing to pay the price.
Last year Tom Wilson forced major organizational changes and roster changes to get tougher. If nothing else, think about the optics of getting eliminated by a 3rd string goalie.
I think our guys forgot Tuesday night that despite Domingue being a third string goalie, he's still an NHL goaltender. He isn't just going to allow anything to go in.OT2 against Chad Ruhwedel who is like 5'10" and 180.
Irritated me more than anything else I saw during OT. If he makes a play on you he makes a play on you. If he kept skating he gets a better scoring chance or possibly gets Ruhwedel to commit an infraction that wouldn't have been called, but its better than a shot that has no chance of going in on a goalie that isn't Georgiev.
I'm in section 213 tonight. I'll buy a bunch of souvenir pucks and launch them. Also, if someone would like to step up and smoke Crosby and/or Malkin, I wouldn't be opposed to it.
Thanks.

If we lose to Domingue, maybe Drury acquires some shoot-first players.
Everything happens for a reason!
It all comes full circle.Domingue probably becomes our cheap backup next season if he wins again tonight.
Going to have this on repeat for the entire train ride.
