Yeah, the Kreider we saw in Game 1 was not the Kreider we saw the bulk of this season. He was way way way too passive and tentative, seemed like he was overthinking things.yeah. good for him. it was a great goal. too bad there's another 34:50 of icetime they need to be effective in.
I thought this exact thing too. It was a paradox. Everyone including the TV crews said, shoot on Domingue and test him, he's cold, blah blah. What we ended up doing was warm him up. The key was to shoot on him intelligently, and lobbing unscreened muffins on him was a mistake.
On a leaky guy like Domingue, especially coming into a game like that, you shoot everything you can. He typically has terrible puck/rebound control. But also, hit the god damn net too. lol
We should call you in as back up instead of Georgiev thenThey didn't even take the type of shots that generate rebounds.
Everything was elevated muffins that I could stop.
I specifically remember a chance he had in one of the OT's where I thought he could've drove to the net but settled for a shot from around the top of the circle. Can't have that happen tonight.Yeah, the Kreider we saw in Game 1 was not the Kreider we saw the bulk of this season. Yup, I remember that same play. If he took one more stride he would've had the edge on the defender and could've driven to the net.I specifically remember a chance he had in one of the OT's where I thought he could've drove to the net but settled for a shot from around the top of the circle. If you're going to be shooting everything it needs to have pre-shot movement, traffic in front or you need to shoot at his feet. Fox threw two straight unscreened muffins directly into the logo which is the absolutely the worst thing you could do there. On a leaky guy like Domingue, especially coming into a game like that, you shoot everything you can. In OPWhere is this?
Mike Brodeur. It would be nice for once for a 3rd string goalie to actually play like one against us in the Garden.
Coach loves him I guess. At this point its probably better to go with the kid line and have Goodrow center the 4th line and Rooney out. Coach probably scared to do that in case he's stuck in a situation where he needs to move Goodrow up. Early in season it looked like he had some semblance of hockey skills. Last game he looked like our worst forward and that's saying a lot.Whats it going to take to get Rooney out of the lineup?
if rooney comes out than mckegg is probably the one going in to offset the loss of rooney for pk. given that I am fine with rooney in the lineup...Whats it going to take to get Rooney out of the lineup?
