Rangers were only badly outplayed in the second period. The third period and first two overtimes were even. Third OT Penguins were better.

i can’t remembe exactly when but we have come from behind in a few series after losing the first 2. Even the Panthers lost tonight and I still expect them to win he series.

I'd say next game is close to being a must win because we're at home and going down 2-0 at home is rough. If we're down 2-0, next game is a must win. I just can't get behind any game off a tied series is a must win unless it's game 7. Then every game when you're not leading a series is a must win?

Igor was excellent and should silent any doubts that he’s not a big game goalie.

Reavo was flying and hitting everything that moves, can’t believe people wanted him scratched. Lafreniere came out flying and hitting as well, the kid line was our best line. Kakko was more quiet most of the game but had that excellent play on the would be GWG. Chytil & Laf were great. Miller and Fox were studs.

The core vets were all underwhelming. Panarin & Copp still look injured.

Trouba was absolutely abysmal.

Blame the team,not the refs.You can't play 1 good period in a playoff game and expect to win.Learn from this and come out ready for game 2.

True. No matter what happens it’s on the team to overcome adversity.

Frankly, I though Zib had his worst game of the season even though he set up Kreider. I want more from them.

On the plus side, I actually liked Laf, Reaves, Shesty, Fox, Kakko, and most of Miller tonight. Even Strome was on my good side.

Every game when you’re tied or down in a series is a must win other than game 1.

I would consider moving Lindgren for the right offer but in today’s case I think he’s playing injured and still did a decent job.

It's great having the best goalie in the world, but unfortunately no matter how well he plays doesn't really matter if we can't score for shit.

Not even mad. Or worried. I’m not upset at any particular player either. Would have liked to see more from our vets, but shit happens.

1st playoff game in half a decade. Lots of good things I saw tonight. The bad is correctable.

Really wish we got to see this team with a healthy Blais and Motte, although I’m not sure where they’d fit.

I’m also 100% convinced that anyone who wants to see Reaves scratched is a psycho lunatic maniac, plus a bunch of other things I’m not allowed to say. Reaves was a complete beast out there tonight. If he played the exact game against us we’d be wishing we had him in our team.

I have two close buddies from Pittsburgh who I met in CHEL around 2015. They called me after the game to pour salt in my wounds. What I found interesting is how they were both beyond impressed with KAM. They absolutely love and hate him. I thought that was interesting because he really stood out this game imo aside for some Derpity Derp moments.

He was owning everyone that first period. He also had quality shifts in the 2nd, 3rd and OT. He wasn’t some hackless traffic cone out there. Give me Reaves all day on our 4th line. Scratch Rooney for Hunt next game too.

All of the kids on the kid line can play hockey. The issue that was magnified in this game is that they can't win a faceoff so each shift is an uphill battle.

They say that the crowd at MSG is like having an extra player on the ice. Just realizing that playing the Pens, they have four extra players on ice with the refs.

The Rangers rightfully won this game and had it taken away. I'm feeling so deflated and pessimistic now. I can easily see a sweep now.

I don’t think they were that bad. Very good in the first and got overconfident. Refs also put their thumb on the scale to keep it close. The Pens then picked up their game and the Rangers didn’t answer well enough. I don’t think anyone played especially badly. If Lindgren is out, that’s one thing. Rooney, I suppose he was the worst I saw. Maybe Hunt in for Rooney. Otherwise I think no need for big changes.
