Coming from the fanbase that anointed Cole Caufield a 40 goal scorer? You would be bowing at the feet of Matthews if he happened to wear that toilet bowl for a logo.

Leafs haven't improved their goaltending, and I have no idea why (Samsonov has a sub .900 save %), and Matthews still needs to prove he isn't a ghost in the playoffs.
Enjoy your postseason while you can.
I am sure he will get his next opportunity in the next 5-10 years. Maybe. Have fun being a Hab fan cheering for Boston I guess lmaoGuess who has more points in one post season year?
Caufield with 12, the most Matthews' has is 11.
AND Caufield was a rookie.
Eat it.
Matthews has been PPG or above the last two postseasons, not really a ghost.
At the end of the day Leafs fans are watching their team play a playoff game today while fans of bad teams pray on their downfall, hard to take seriously when your team isn’t in the arena.
Guess who is going into year 5 and hasn't broken 30 goals yet? Tell us again how he's a better goal scorer.Guess who has more points in one post season year?

Be top 40 all time in playoff goal production with over half the list ahead of him having played in the 1980 - 95 run and gun era.Matthews can score 1 million goals in the regular season.
What has he done in the playoffs?
Matthews & Tavares vs Coyle & Zacha? Talk about a mismatch. Leafs strength down the middle should win this series for them unless Swayman stands on his head. 24 million vs 9 million in cap hit.
The bruins have great goaltending but terrible centers
They have okay wingers, but the leafs have elite centers and wings
The leafs have 4 lines and the B’s have 1/2 of 2 lines
On defense the B’s have 1 very good pair and then garbage, the leafs have 2 ‘good’ pairs and one shakey one
On paper this is a mismatch, the only advantages that Boston can hope to have is wishing their big bad rep gets into the leafs heads and their goaltender puts on a show of the century
Not gonna happen.
Leafs ended Tampa’s run, now they’re gonna burn the bruins, then they’ll dismantle Florida and they’ll have beaten all of the competition in the atlantic
Then it’s on to the other divisions
Bruins fans think slewfoots are legal, that's all you need to know lmaoWe will certainly be seeing the same as a few Leafs fans love to excuse Kadri by blaming Debrusk for... nothing... in a single game sample size a decade ago as evidence the refs help the Bruins. It goes both ways.
Matthews can score 69 goals in the regular season. Let's see what he does when the games actually matter.
Hard to take seriously opinions of bad teams? Do you even remember how you got Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Rielly, etc? lol
Why do we just ignore when he played well? Like literally last season he was a superstar round 1. When we needed goals the most he came up big, including in the elimination game and 2 goals for the comeback the game before.
Looking at the two lineups, especially the elite guys and just can’t see the Leafs losing this series. Pasta will need to do a lot to match what Marner, Matthews, and Nylander will bring.
Ah yes when Matthews scores in the playoffs its because the other goalie played bad....but when he doesn't it's never acceptable to say the goalie played well lmao. Ever stop and think Matthews might have played a part in Vasi and his .875 in that series? Or is that to deep of a dive for you?He was meh last playoffs, and Vasilevskiy had a .875 save % which is one of the main factors of them even winning that series..
Let's see what he does tonight. Prove us wrong, Mr. regular season goal machine.
Bruins will certainly need to limit Toronto’s high danger chances, especially off the rush, that’s for sure. Because TO will not give up much. I see low scoring games (3-2 or 2-1) and the elite guys on TO will be the difference. For the Bruins to have any chance Pasta will need to be phenomenal.Did you not look at the goalies?
(you know, the most important position..)

You are all over the thread talking about Leaf players being regular season only but saying this when Ullmark has a career .888sv% in the playoffs?
