Just win the game! Nash and Richards need to wake up, Nash showed some signs of his old self last night(and he's probably injured, so gets a bit of a pass, although he needs to step it up), but Richards has no excuse, needs to wake the **** up and make himself useful. If one of those two can score, I have a good feeling about this, but we realistically can't expect the same lopsidedness on the PP oppurtunitie, so we're going to have to find a way to score. Our PP also needs to wake up, a PPG would be huge for this team.
 
People still have faith in Richards? He's looked good in 1 game this entire season.
 
Read Steven McDonald's "Breaking the Cycle of Violence" to get me in the right mood for tonight's game. Win or lose, we gave a very hot team a good series.

Its a big one, no question about it. The East is in turmoil this year. If we win, who knows what could happen. You only get so many chances to win it all.
 
i want them to win tonight for no other reason but because of Lundqvist's heroics last night. It's a tragedy that we can't score for this guy. If we manage to advance in to the 2nd round, great, but we don't have the tools offensively for long term success in the playoffs.

Ovi Gets a hat trick

Nash goes coast to coast for the first goal of the game, while not hitting the post.

Kreider goes bar down on holtby in the final seconds of his 5 minutes of ice time

Callahan scores on the powerplay because Girardi slap shot goes wide and bounces off the back boards then hits callys skate then goes in.

Del Zotto gets the game winner on a slap shot that goes where he actually aims for.

And Beaver attempts to throw the puck over the boards when clearing and it ends up getting a lucky bounce that ends up going into the empty net.

I hope Boyle and Brassard are good after blocking some shots/passes.

Boyle took one in the hand and then hip at the end of game 6, and Brassard seemed to be hobbling even coming back from the 1st star skate...

I'm assuming Beaver is skating today because he had no ice time yesterday?

Ugh, probably no Staal. Although its a possibility, I guess.
 
The Rangers need to get off to the same start they have in the last two games, except they need to score a couple of goals. And stop with the damn turnovers in the Caps zone. That along with staying out of the box as much as possible are the biggest keys to me. I just wish this game were in NY, although I do feel that given that the Rangers won game 6, the fact that there is no day off can definitely work in their favor. Plus the Rangers usually play pretty good with back to backs.
 
i said if the rangers tied it up at 2-2 we go on to win the series. well i dont want to look like a liar so we win 1-0 with a goal off boyle's ass. henrik with 307 saves. mike green literally bursts into tears on the ice
