I hope they made some adjustments for how aggressive Florida is. If you are always chasing/pressuring, that means there are holes to exploit and all that chasing will tire your skaters out. It may mean you need to take a hit to make the play which some of our players seem to shy away from so that would be our weakness. But if you know your weaknesses you can use them to your advantage.

I'm a bit old school. In the playoffs things get more old school although obviously not nearly like the old days. What I'm getting at is why are we letting these guys physically bully us? I ask because when I look at Fla I do not see many fighters. If they want to be bullies maybe its time we punch the bullies in the nose? I see Tkachuk pushing Kreider and Rempe. I think both those guys can take him. Maybe its time they respond? Who can fight on Florida? Can Bennet fight? He is only around 200 pounds. Clancy once said if you can't beat them in the ally you cant beat them on the ice. That is not true today but maybe its time we dragged some of Fla "tough guys" in to the ally? If they want that smoke maybe its time they got some? If I'm Rempe I try to talk Tkachuk in to a fight constantly starting in warmups. They will lose an all star.

Bennett is on the Cuylle, Goodrow, Trouba level as a fighter, good/tough but not a HW. In fact he had a good tilt with Trouba when he was on Winnipeg and they both left the ice bloody.

Kreider and Zibanejad have it in their DNA to turn the other cheek. Trouba is guy willing to fight, but he has spent this series and most of the playoffs fighting for his life on the ice. Mentally, the Panthers top guys are much much stronger than ours in terms of shift to shift style and consistency. If our highest paid forwards can flip the switch and actually show up, we will win this series.

I don't think it's the physicality but more the inability for our D group to handle the forecheck and clear the puck efficiently. Trouba is physical yet he is awful. Miller and Schneider have struggled also. They are both big guys. Guys like Jones, even though he is smaller, can move the puck which would go a long way towards alleviating some of that pressure and Dzone time. This is never going to happen so I guess we hope for the best.

I mean the Panthers have the best collective defense in the league and they’re throwing out Barkov-Ekblad-Forsling against the Zibanejad line.

Sorry not directed at you but whoever came up with the first visual should take a lap of shame and log off permanently. One of the worst visuals I have ever encountered. That legend is downright hilarious.

I'm getting a kick out of people who are saying tonight is some legacy game for Kreider. As if it will be the one thing that will define his career as a homegrown Ranger. Would it be a blemish if he can't get going? Sure. Will it be remembered? Yeah probably. But I'll remember all the big moments. And there are way more of those than not.

Advanced Stats Guy: Microsoft Co-Pilot, help me visualize these 300 pages of on-ice 5-on-5 situations by player against all other players.

Microsoft Co-Pilot: f*** you. I mean, look at your data. Do it yourself.

Advanced Stats Guy: Goddamn. Guess I'll do it myself.

It appears to this casual observer that some of the rangers wont pay the physical price to win. At least after watching almost all games this season and picking the team to win it all

I agree with you but its both. Kachuk (my spelling) and a couple of other guys have definitely taken liberties. Swinging sticks at Rempe after the game. Getting in our players face. This is the playoffs. I'm gload CK threw Kachuk's mouth piece. If they are going to get in our guys faces maybe its time we let them know that is not happening. Imo Rempe owes Kachuk after the stick swinging.

That is good to know. He is strong and physical but not huge. Kachuk would be the guy I would go after since he keeps acting like Billy Badass.
