“Let me just rearrange this cheeks in a slightly different order” - idea of a tactical adjustment for every NYR coach in my lifetime
This is how I see it.
Our Rangers have two chances to get it back to the Garden for Game 7.
Anything can happen with that crowd behind you and Igor in net.
But they are gonna have to be a shit ton better.
Who is actually killing this team:writing as a mildly interested casual observer:
SCRATCH WHEELER AND KAAKO and replace em with warm bodies. these guys are killing us
well.. maybe more than mildly interested
Im not so sure about that.If they want even the possibility of a game 7 they need to win this one.
If they lose today theres no way they're beating Florida in game 6 lol. The way the games/officiating has gone down there have been so lopsided and I can't see Igor holding the fort enough to squeeze one out.
no pressureWe win this game, we win the Cup.
We lose this game, we’re done in 6.
I truly believe this.
Look at the replay. Thats a trip in my book. Plus he pushed his head down while he glanced at the ref. Its an egregious non call. Lavi should have been screaming wtaf about that imo.
As if things couldn't get worse for Kaapo Kakko, the ghost of the power cable that tripped Lias Andersson and ruined his career visited our Finnish 2OA during his breakaway, and now he's out of the Rangers lineup, maybe forever.
Why isn't he playing? Did I miss that?
Ekblad pushed his stick blade into KK's skate, moving it from Ekblad's left to right. It wasn't stationary at the time of the trip. Doesn't matter how "stationary" it was prior that.I've seen it many times. Ekblad is standing in position with his stick in almost the exact same spot for 2-3 seconds and Kakko makes a step to his left and steps on the blade with his left foot. That's never getting called when the ref sees it correctly.
I agree with the exception of Cuylle. He is at least engaged physically. The rest, including Roslovic have offered a whole lot of nothing, outside of Wennbergs tip in.He kind of is.
I wouldn't hesitate to just play three lines over any of Cuylle, Wennberg, Kakko, Wheeler, or even Chytil to be honest.
Pre-renovation, my seats were in 420. The opposing GM (often) and the opposing scratches sat directly in front of 421. They got berated many times. Barnaby on the Penguins was probably the most fun. The Potvin whistle started. When it ended, someone yelled "Barnaby sucks". He turned and waved.
I've sat in these seats. Even saw Kuznetsov in the Canes series until Brendan Lemieux got him out of there. If he stayed there, he probably would have gotten roasted in Russian by my friend and his father.
Where are those numbers coming from and how far back are you going? This year with this team they led the league in penalty minutes. To have only 10 penalties called on them in 4 games with the way they play is awful officiating. Sorry. We have all seen obvious infraction not being called. I'm not talking about ticky tac stuff either.Fla PK time per 4 game sets in the playoffs (3 games for the last bunch since 15 total):
Games 1-4 - 5.96 mins/game
Games 5-8 - 4.65 mins/game
Games 9-12 - 4.59 mins/game
Games 13-15 - 5.66 mins/game
I have to say I'm not seeing the issue. I agree they've missed calls but the results are not exactly swinging wildly throughout. Seems like pretty standard small sample stuff to me
He skated with the extras in practice. Why isn't he playing? Did I miss that?
Yet was doing line rushes with the 3rd line, while Wheeler wasn't. Safe to say Wheeler is the one not playing. He skated with the extras in practice.

Maybe there is hope after all.Yet was doing line rushes with the 3rd line, while Wheeler wasn't. Safe to say Wheeler is the one not playing.
Did we have enough time to adjust our d zone and neutral zone scheme or will it be the same old story of stubborn Rangers coaches getting out coached?
Is the the game Mika and Panarin decide enough is enough?
If game 5 is a repeat of games 3 and 4...stick a fork in us. I really hope the team adjusts how they play. If not then we know this core is basically a new version of the San Jose Sharks and will never get over that hump.
