When it comes to extending my sentences, I perpetually engage in the act of elongating words as if they were undergoing a transformation from their contracted form to their full, expanded version, such as altering "they're" into "they are," or similar modifications, all in a concerted effort to meet the exigencies of word limits imposed upon me.
Damn this guy is a pros pro. Teach me your ways.

A bit of a random question, but I'm curious if there is any tracking software (similar to soccer tracking player movements and distance traveled) for the NHL? I ask because the amount of energy FL exerted throughout the entire 3rd period after playing an overtime w/ 1 days rest just didn't look normal to me, at least for someone used to watching the Rangers.

Canes also liked coming red hot in the 1st period. Sometimes they could carry it over into the 2nd but more often than not, they ran out of gas by the latter half of the 2nd or early in the 3rd. FL look like they don't slow down the entire game. In a normal situation, I'd expect FL to be pretty gassed today after that 3rd period with just one day's rest, but we know they are going to look completely fresh going a million miles per hour.

As someone whose job largely revolves around writing focused investment research reports for clients that are more impressed by the length of the report as opposed to its actual content, its about adding superfluous words that make the sentence sound smarter than it actually is.
That’s what Ivy leaguers do….????

can relate as someone who writes ESG communications for companies that largely have zero positive ESG narratives to communicate about

Limit the amount of turn overs, please, I beg you. If they beat us, they beat us. I absolutely hate losing because of avoidable goals. I'm not talking about being out worked or not making a great defensive play. I'm talking about the goals that come off what should clearly be a zone exit. I'm talking about the mistakes below our circles.

Referees Garrett Rank and Jean Hebert are working their second Conference Final game, coming off EDM/DAL Game 2 out west.

Rank and Hebert have been paired up throughout the playoffs, working NYI/CAR Game 1, TOR/BOS Game 2, FLA/TBL Game 4 (FLA L 6-3), VGK/DAL Game 5, and VAN/NSH Game 6 in the opening round.

They’ve also officiated BOS/FLA Game 2 (FLA W 6-1), NYR/CAR Game 4 (NYR L 4-3), COL/DAL Game 5, and VAN/EDM Game 6 in Round 2.

Rank and Hebert aren’t shy about dishing out PIMs to clean up the ice. handed out 12 misconduct penalties at Bruins/Panthers Game 2 and four at Canucks/Oilers Game 6. Referee Garrett Rank also famously issued misconduct penalties to “everybody on the ice” earlier this season.

Okposo will be waterskiing all night if he's in. Lets see if the refs actually call it. The NHL also expects fireworks. The refs tonight are known for handing out game misconduct penalties apparently.
Reinhart and Rodrigues should have both gotten unsportsman like conduct penalties for faking injuries in the past game. Reinhart goes down like he was shot after Trouba pushed him, stays down during the play and then tries to play the next shift. Rodrigues did the same thing after faking being paralyzed for 5 minutes. If the refs were competent, they would have said to Reinhart "You can play the next shift, great, go sit in the box for 2 minutes". That would put a quick end to this BS that the cats are pulling.

I hope tonight's refs have seen the tapes of this crap.

Lomberg hurt from Rempe hit?

Every time I see Lomgberg in the series, I have Office Space flashbacks

I'm like 5 inches shorter than Rempe but he skates and stick handles exactly like I do. I think that's a big reason why I get second hand nervous whenever he's on the ice.
There was one play where instead of stopping with his skates he reached out to the end boards to brace himself. I caught that because I used to do that when I was a kid occasionally. :D

Pretty crazy move.

I kind of expected a change based on the previous series for them and them needing a jump start. Some posters on their board were calling for this kind of change.

I can’t use it on a laptop with all the ads. Works fine on my phone with the ads blocked.
Get the Brave browser. I haven't seen an ad on this site in forever.

The other option is to pay, and I've thought about it since I'm here more than enough to justify it.

You know what's f***ing great on mobile? The ads that block 50% of your screen that you can't get rid of, that actually obstruct the functionality of the site. So you then install an ad-block that prevents said ads, and you get another pop-up for using an adblock. And nothing has been done to this for like 2 years now.

This is what my screen looks like on mobile without ad-block. f***ing ridiculous. The pop-up for using adblock basically on every third site load, but at least you can click it away easily.

pay the $12/year for the sponsorship... no ads.

You obviously spend a good amount of time on this site... $12 for no ads is the easiest money i've ever spent.

I’m writing all of this down.
