They'll probably throw a different look out there if they get in trouble.

They haven't trailed in a series yet past game 1 and they powerplay is one of the best in the league over the last three years.

I don't think thee personnel needs to change. I just think they need to get back to making concerted plays instead of waiting for a breakdown. We're not playing Washington anymore.

I think its cooled off because the refs decided to stop giving us powerplays in the Carolina series. Panthers PK is also actually good unlike the Canes. You are right though, I suspect we will see Mika in the bumper and Panarin in his usual slap shot office. Both guys need to shoot more.

No way are they sitting Rempe tonight, I mean I wouldn't be incensed or anything but I don't see it. What if the game gets out of hand the wrong way ? You want him out there trying to freight train people.

One way to prevent the game from getting out of hand is by not playing the forward who gets the least ice time yet also takes the most penalties. Especially given that the FLA PP has been very good in the series.

That's a huge part of it as well. When you get reps and get into a rhythm, you start executing plays.

We're just playing catch because our PP isn't getting enough time on the ice to get out of the feeling out process.

I would do that but Zib for Laf is the more important swap

So many poor passes like this one that handcuff the other point men and kill the sequence. Should easily find Fox here supporting from the bumper spot and then it’s a quick 3 on 2

He also never does real zone entries, as soon as he gets to the blue line he panics and gives it up , usually Kreider who is in a bad position and is t great at puck control to begin with.

He also never gets in good shooting postions.

Take him off

Get a win tonight and do what they couldnt in Game 5 against the Canes and close them out. Im speaking this into existence because im going to my first game of the playoffs Thursday, and I would really like to not bug my wife about watching Game 6 while we are out east this weekend for our anniversary.
Okay Mac. You deserve this. You are one of the really dedicated here. So I pray to MY God, and the Hockey Gods that things go the way you deserve them to be. Of course, this would really be conducive to what we ALL want. Godspeed to you and the Mrs.

Appreciate the kind words. Might as well dwell on the best case scenario while it's still possible haha

I also don't think that it's looked that bad.

They've had opportunities, they just haven't cashed in. Zibanejad should have buried at least 2 so far (had an empty net that he shanked in g1 in the dying seconds of the 2nd pd and then one that he almost squeaked through Bob last game that he probably does if the pass is a bit better.)

I do think they need to stop working from the blue line down and change things up a bit. I get why they aren't skating in between games, but it'd be nice for them to draw up a few things to catch Florida off guard for lay up goals.

Kreider setting him up from behind the net was the best chance in game 3 for either team that didn't go in. I think that was at 5v5 but the point stands.

idk, the 30 seconds that power play 1 had without Zibanejad they instantly looked dangerous because of better alignment, and well, not having to deal with Zibanejad

"It is speculated that Adam Fox is nursing an injury. He could be hurt. Anybody could be hurt. We'll find out after the playoffs. Maybe."

"There may be worse places. I can't name any at the moment. The deadline is in eight days. We will find out then if Drury has any plans. Does he have plans? He might."

Me typing a word limit essay in school back in the day.

Idk I feel like we're seeing what we want to see.

All I remember when the second unit was on was that it was even worse.

If the series is going to go off the rails, this is where it will happen. I suspect Florida are going to come out in the 1st like they did in the 3rd last game. If we can weather that and not be down multiple goals going into the intermission, then I like our chances.
You see, that is the thing. Have the Panthers really experienced Rangers hockey? No, I don't believe so. They've experienced Panthers defeats at the hand of the Rangers, but UNTIL we get a goal or 2 on the PP, and with that is the so called "mediocre" 5v5 play in which it's basically locked down........NO, they haven't been faced with any of that. AND, they have still managed to lose 2 of 3. So, in retrospect when they DO, it just might be lights out for them in the next 2 games. I am NOT being cocky, but I think that we could only play BETTER. Can they play any etter than they already have? Hope not. Shesty will be there "IF" that ever happens. Despite winning, we haven't played RANGERS HOCKEY, now............have we?

Fox doesn't really "hit" for the same reason Kreider doesn't. Doesn't have to. He wins puck battles without doing so.

Sometimes you want to, and you want guys that want to. That's what Cuylle and Rempe are earning a salary for.
Fox couldnt catch Wheeler 2 days post op surgery to hit him. But I agree.
