Torts didn't have the depth that AV has either though partly that was his own fault. He didn't trust kids like Kreider very much. Even so the Rangers have a guy like Diaz--not even playing who would have been a better option for the bottom pair than what he was working with the last couple years--and the Rangers 4th line against Boston last year was not good. This is a better team personnel wise. I do agree the system is better--not sitting on leads like they use to daring the other team to score. Rangers are close to a 3 goals a game clip in the playoffs and considering they went over 7 straight periods against Pittsburgh without a goal that's pretty good. Our pwp has got 10 goals in the playoffs now as well. Things are gelling in the conference finals this time--not like in 11-12 when the Rangers were going through another in a series of brutal low scoring boards battles with New Jersey.

AV is also a better X's and O's coach, he has adjusted when needed, I'm not gonna take a dump on Torts because he did some good things for this team, but in game adjustments were not his strength...the Bruins took away the Rangers breakout on the boards last season and he never adjusted.

You'd rather see Chicago than LA? Lol

Yes? They have a tendency to be less physical and they have a goalie who it is easier to score inefficient goals against. They are also less balanced than the Kings.

Huge huge game. We can't let them back in. What's with all the late games though?

for the ppl who are attending...the first person to start a "we want the cup" chant that you see, please punch them in the face for me.

thanks.

I mean, watching Crawford and saying he's worse than Quick is one thing, but looking at his stats and saying that is nearly impossible. Crawford has the best statistics at home, better than any goaltender in the league and that's fact. The Rangers tend to do better away than we do at home and if we need to do good in the finals, we need to do good away since Chicago would have home ice advantage. Also, Chicago's 2nd line defense of Hjalmarson and Leddy could be a 1st line for alot of NHL teams so with that being said, we might have a tough time scoring against the Blackhawks than 1 might think.

While Crawford is an underrated goalie, and a very good one at that, his statistics are more of a reflection of the team in front of him.

i HATE that crap.

if its an elimination game for you in the SCF...sure go ahead. but ive heard our fans chant that crap in the first round of the playoffs before.

so...damn...idiotic.
I want the Cup.

Do you not want the Cup?

anyone care to show me where to look at the home sv% stats?

im sure crawfords are amazing, but again, the guy just gave up what, 6 goals at home? thats gotta hurt the stats.

So you don't want the 'Cup unless it is the last period of a 'Cup clinching game or?

I agree, and that just makes the team more tough to beat. To beat Chicago we need to be good offensively.

Do you not want the Cup?

You're missing his point. You don't chant that in the ECF.

The only time it would be appropriate at this stage is at home, during the presentation of the Prince of Wales trophy.

IF we win.
