Easy peasy Don Sweeney
Easy peasy Don Sweeney
Orlov in Carolina and I wanted Chychrun .But you are right in saying not much there in 10 years.I hope you and me are both wrong & Donny fixes this mess, but I have serious doubts .I agree with you about him not getting fired.Saw rumor today Rangers and Bruins interested in Boeser.Ironically 2 of those players Carlo and Jake came out of the 2015 draft. Hall wanted to be a Bruin and forced Buffalo's hand on an expiring contract, it was Boston or no-where. Orlov where is he now? McAvoy was a Great pick when most wanted Fabbro, as was Swayman. Not much there in 10 years though. I just fear what this team will look like in 4-5 years down the road with Sweeney leading the way, these next couple of years decisions will go a long way on determining just that. I hope I'm wrong, because I don't see him going anywhere and Imho the future will be very bleak with him at the helm.
They need goaltending help though.Sweeten the pot with Korpi.Find a way to make salary workThey got Savoie by trading away a fast, big, 3rd/4th line F who has 2x as many points as Frederic this year.
They aren't trading Savoie back for a lesser version of what they traded away.

Saves you from wasting money on plugs. Poitras would have an elite winger to play with.Thoughts on 28 year old Mikko Rantanen in free agency? Could he be effective skating opposite Pastrnak?
Rantanen • Lindholm • Pastrnak
Very underrated in this town,
I came here for an argument. Two months ago the Owner and the President said that if we’re not in a playoff spot at the deadline they will have to consider a re-tool. Why can’t Sweeney say that? Who is he trying to confuse? It's like a comedy sketch...
Media: What's your approach to the deadline?
Sweeney: Usually we go for it, but this year we're not going to do that.
Media: So you're going to sell?
Sweeney: Whoah, who said anything about selling? What kind of selling? What does selling even mean?
Media: Well, if you're not selling what are you doing?
Sweeney: I think I was pretty clear.
Media: If you were clear, we wouldn't all be asking the same question different ways.
Sweeney: Look, usually we're in a playoff position and we're aggressive. This year, we're not, so we'll be cautious.
Media: So what does that mean?
Sweeney: It means not go for it.
Media: So sell.
Sweeney: More like the opposite of buy.

How was the opera, Mike?I like to be fair, and since I often hate his press conferences I just want to say that I have no issues with anything Sweeney said or how he said it.

I think that is in part why he's struggled this year. He got trucked by Jamie Benn earlier this season. I expected him to be out for a while after that.Carlo has a bit of a concussion history, too. It's brutal to say, but it's another reason I'd consider moving him. He's probably a knock or two to the head of being a future issue.
I would hold on Petterson, until you get a little more information on him seems he is a problem with his teammates, this is not me throwing shit against the wall, I wanted him, thought he would be an acquisition, he is young and signed, puts up points, but the Bruins do not need any more drama around this team.I would love RantananRantanen - Pettersson - Pastrnak

How was the opera, Mike?
The fat lady was not as enormous as I expected, and did not waddle into the orchestra pit and crush an oboe player.
So, a good opera then?
Well,,,,,,,,,,,
What we need is Sweeney to go on vacation and let the Universe magically create a team like 2019, 2020, or 2022-23.
I really can’t give him any credit because the Universe did this
Hopefully he has time share at Disney the week of the trade deadline
My concern he trades Frederic for Les Stempniak or Graham Nash
If they made a move for Zegras, right after Rantanen in UFA I would prioritize Sam Bennet and another good leader for the dressing room to keep him in line. If you can get Zegras to put an effort in every night he would be a steal. If he doesn't you have an even lazier Patrick Laine. Marchand-Zegras-Pasta could be a great line and Marchands work ethic should keep Zegras in check.I know people here aren't a fan of Zegras but his skillset was on full display Saturday night against the Bruins. I would take a chance on him, play him with Pastrnak.
The main thing this Bruins lack is true skill. Zegras is loaded with skill. Maybe a change of scenery would do wonders for him, I would love to find out.
