Guess we'll see Subban in full punk-mode tonight. Montreal doesn't have much in the way of goons, but they certainly have a few guys who can play dirty. I'd say ice Carcillo tonight, but I don't know who to take out of the lineup.
Its not all of the Habs fans that I have seen claim that Krieder was only trying to hurt Price, some have though. He really wasn't being reckless without his legs getting swiped at and all he probably doesn't lose his balance and he shoots on net.
Excuses starting already for Habs fans.
Habs fan: "Look at the bright side, if rangers win series there'll be an asterix that follows "conference champs".
Me: "If I don't recall some team beating another team this playoffs who was without their number 1 goalie."

Yep...Prust, Gallagher, Subban, Briere, etc.

There is NO way Kreider did that on purpose. High speed and lost balance. Therrien trying to create that hatred and rallying point.
They have an opportunity here... if the Habs are playing hot trying to knock people out of the game, a smart, quick team can capitalize on the break.
Bourque and Pacioretty as well. Bourque chicken-winged Nik Backstrom a couple years ago and Patches hit McDonagh from behind last year.
Gionta has always been a little ***** as well.
Thanks for the reply. I haven't seen any Habs fans claim this, but I'm sure there are a few who have. It's a ridiculous assertion and not worthy of debate, the only argument to be had is whether or not he was reckless, and to what degree the stickwork by the Canadien defense contributed to his fall (both points I'm happy to agree to disagree on). I just wanted the "he was trying to score, therefore" argument explained.
“@TGfireandice: Increasing speculation here that rookie Dustin Tokarski will be the one to get the call in net for the Habs' tonight.â€
Budaj appears to be getting the Toskala "You're still the backup" treatment.
Trying to stay out of this as a Habs fan, but I'm confused at this line of reasoning and have been seeing it a lot. Who is saying that his intent was to NOT score a goal? People are arguing that in trying to score a goal he was being reckless.
Note: not trying to argue if that's true or not, just trying to understand this line of reasoning where people claim that because he was trying to score a goal means that he wasn't being reckless.

Kreider will need to watch his knees more than his head, for a guy of his size. NYR d-men need to pile on anyone who tries anything with Lundqvist. Expecting a lot of power plays.
