“@MattBarnaby3636: There is NO way Kreider did that on purpose. High speed and lost balance. Therrien trying to create that hatred and rallying point.”

When Kreider crashed in to Anderson that time, I was upset at first but then I realized how fast Kreider plays and how hard it can be to stop on time/how easy it could be to lose your balance when going at such a high speed.

Guess we'll see Subban in full punk-mode tonight. Montreal doesn't have much in the way of goons, but they certainly have a few guys who can play dirty. I'd say ice Carcillo tonight, but I don't know who to take out of the lineup.

That's good for you guys because when he started doing it last year it pushed the Habs further up **** creek.

Its not all of the Habs fans that I have seen claim that Krieder was only trying to hurt Price, some have though. He really wasn't being reckless without his legs getting swiped at and all he probably doesn't lose his balance and he shoots on net.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't seen any Habs fans claim this, but I'm sure there are a few who have. It's a ridiculous assertion and not worthy of debate, the only argument to be had is whether or not he was reckless, and to what degree the stickwork by the Canadien defense contributed to his fall (both points I'm happy to agree to disagree on).

Excuses starting already for Habs fans.

Habs fan: "Look at the bright side, if rangers win series there'll be an asterix that follows "conference champs".

Me: "If I don't recall some team beating another team this playoffs who was without their number 1 goalie."

Good thing I really don't give a flying **** what Habs fans have to say.

If we win this series we are in the SCF and they are not. That is all that matters to me.

Giants won the Superbowl with Jeff Hostettler

Bills orchestrated the best playoff comeback ever with Frank Reich

if they lose it's on them.... no asterisk. It's called sports.

Last year it was "disrespeck the families."

Now it's Kreider is dirty.

The whining from the canadiens organization just won't stop.

Woohoo! Not cheering the injury, but cheering the fact that you guys get to play their backup! I am buying a Lundqvist jersey if you guys eliminate them.

#1 goal: Bruins cup
#2 goal: Montreal collapse

Literally, actually, this AINEC.

The coach just wants his team to play mad and overcome a now huge weakness in the roster, where it was once almost even. The Rangers have a severe advantage in net now with Hank on fire.

I love when the other side uses excuses, it usually means they lost. If the Canadiens like I can list some for them, feel free to use them all.

1. We lost our # goalie.
2. Tears got in our eyes.
3. Budaj means screen door in Slovak.
4. Kreider tried too hard.
5. Kreider is a big meanie.

They have an opportunity here... if the Habs are playing hot trying to knock people out of the game, a smart, quick team can capitalize on the break.

Kreider will need to watch his knees more than his head, for a guy of his size. NYR d-men need to pile on anyone who tries anything with Lundqvist. Expecting a lot of power plays.

“@TGfireandice: Increasing speculation here that rookie Dustin Tokarski will be the one to get the call in net for the Habs' tonight.”

It's sad that the idiots come out on both sides when stuff like this happens. Still planning on cheering the Rangers on in the finals, despite my feelings on the Kreider play. I'll just stop watching when he lifts the cup, haha.

Don't let the fans fool you, the players will/should be a lot smarter than that. The Habs didn't get sucked into the revenge game against Boston, I can't see it starting now.

Budaj appears to be getting the Toskala "You're still the backup" treatment.

Bourque and Pacioretty as well. Bourque chicken-winged Nik Backstrom a couple years ago and Patches hit McDonagh from behind last year.

Gionta has always been a little ***** as well.

Yep, may be time for ol' Snake-eyes to get his feet wet...

I just wanted the "he was trying to score, therefore" argument explained.

The thing is like Lucic when he hit Miller.. he wasn't trying to score that in turn makes it a dirtier play then say two years ago when Hagelin took a charging or goalie interference call because he was trying to make the play and tie the game... thats what I gather from it. The end result is an unfortunate accident... it wasn't reckless (IMO he was moving very fast but he was also being chopped at) and I'm sure if we watch enough video we can find Krieder on breakaways and moving fast like that and not hitting the goalie.

1. Genuinely feel bad, not how you want a series to go for the sport.
2. Laughable Therrian and media going after Kreider. Absolutely laughable. They're upset at the situation I get it, but don't make fools of yourself.
3. Rangers against a backup? There's another demon to confront...

Trying to stay out of this as a Habs fan, but I'm confused at this line of reasoning and have been seeing it a lot. Who is saying that his intent was to NOT score a goal? People are arguing that in trying to score a goal he was being reckless.
Note: not trying to argue if that's true or not, just trying to understand this line of reasoning where people claim that because he was trying to score a goal means that he wasn't being reckless.

Well what do you want him to do? NOT use his speed to blow past defenders and try to score? Thats what hes gonna do, and if defenders want to impede on it to the point where he bowls over their goalie, so be it.

I would hope with competent reffing that the BS will be eliminated tonight. Meaning the Ref(s) will tell the coaches they're going to call a tight game and no BS. At the first sign of trouble hand out a few calls they normally wouldn't and the players will adjust. That's what a good ref would do, lets see.

What worries me are the other games. Tonight everyone will expect nonsense. Next game when someone lets their guard down, the **** will hit the fan.

Could not care less about the injury. SCF is SCF, no matter how you get there.
