If a Hab runs into Hank now no matter what, it's gonna be a penalty.

****ing morons. If they were gonna do something, they should've maintained that it was definitely an accident, and then try to do some slick ****. Now it's clear what their intentions are.

Hope they get a face full of blocker.

Yes, they have basically set themselves up. They should have shut their pieholes, said nothing but, "It's hockey". Now the refs will be watching. Is it really that essential for their team to have another cry fest rallying call? Really? The third round of the Stanley Cup you shouldn't need to look under the rug for motivation. They sound like a team that's lost already.

The other pre-game thread was locked, so I assume here is good.

Rangers should rest Hank w/Cam.
Want him to stay fresh. This is the slot.

As to Brassard believed out game 2, this is where JT Miller should be inserted.
But play him at C with Kreider.
Move Stepan to Brassard's slot
Would also support more minutes for D. Moore on higher shift

Absolutely not!

Pressure is all on the Rangers IMO with Price out. Can we slay 2 curses in one game? Beating a backup/rookie and advancing a series lead?

Exactly it's not 1974 anymore, there are 4 striped shirts on the ice

Who cares? They're not the Bruins. If they try to play a tough game, the Rangers will skate circles around them. Their game is speed and skill. I imagine someone will stand up before the game and say lets focus on what got us here, not "let's run Hank for revenge."

Although who knows. Either way, this is good for us:

1) We are playing a backup goalie regardless
2) They might lose focus of the point of the game, which is to score.

The Montreal fans on the main board is really trying hard to make Kreider look like some kind of villain.
Pictures of previous goalie collisions with no context and a video of the Price incident where the tripping sequence has been cut out for some reason

Price out. Team goes together to funeral, becomes big and close family.

Canadiens declare war on Kreider and King Henrik. Team becomes an even closer family. Protect each other tonight.

"It is written in the stars".

We have to take this in 4 or 5 to off-set the 2 7 game series we just played.

Did you just quote yourself?

I understand that some MTL fans are mad and frustrated that Price is out. That sucks for them and is disappointing, however some of the fans are making it like Kreider didn't even have the puck and just crashed into Price without getting touch. He's clearly hit on the knee and he also has a breakaway going.

This is the part that luck plays sometimes. Bounces, injuries--**** happens. I don't think anyone here really wanted to see Price get injured. Beyond that we hope it's not anything long term.

For the Rangers they need to keep their focus. Play the game the right way. Stay away as much as possible from stupid ****--likely some of that will be coming and probably tonight. Also good to keep in Budaj is capable of playing lights out and that his team is going to even more motivated. Have to match their intensity while hanging on to discipline.

I want the Rangers to go to the finals and even farther. I'd rather that the injury hadn't happened though. There's nothing that can be done about that now. No real way to rectify the situation at least in some people's minds. Have to keep on keeping on.

It was twenty years ago today ......

May 19th 1994

Rangers beat the Devils 3-2 in OT, Stephane Matteau's 1st of 2 OT winners in the series :D

Give them Talbot.

The Canadiens are going to be coming after Kreider.

I honestly can't see how he did it on purpose or that he could have done something different. The game is happening so fast out there. Hey Montreal, here is a brilliant idea. How about you stop hacking and tripping Kreider and maybe, just maybe, he won't fall down on a near breakaway. Sorry, but Kreider was being hacked at from two d-men there. Probably the same Canadien fans who think Chara should be in a supermax prison up there in Canada for what happened with Pacioretty.

I hate to see any player get hurt, especially a player who seems like a genuinely good guy in Price. Hope he returns quickly

This. It's a shame it's turned into a pissing match because the Montreal media is a joke. Hope he recovers fully the day after this series is over.

Listening to TSN690 right now, and you got Nilan and Momesso both slinging the "accidentally on purpose" schtick. Its no wonder that their fans are delusional.
