this is a very dangerous time for the Rangers.

1. This totally changes Karma. The NYR rallied behing Marty's mothers death, now the Canadians have a rally cry.

2. I may be wrong, because I was so young, but I believe in 1979 Eastern Conf finals the NYR won game1....then Dryden got hurt, and MTL went on to win the next 4 with a backup goalie.....sound familiar? Someone older than me may be able to confirm.

3. THE NYR don't exactly do well against rookie goalies.

4. The NYR are clearly the fvorites instead of the underdogs.

I hope we blitz them. Get up early tonight and the Habs may roll over.

Dangerous time.

Regarding item 2, it's actually like this; Bunny Larocque was their goalie. Dryden was the backup. Larocque took a puck to the head during warmups and couldn't play. Dryden came in and stoned the Rangers the rest of the way. He retired after that Cup win.

The good news is that the Habs don't have a hall of fame goalie like Dryden as a backup. And hopefully karma doesn't turn their backup into the next Ken Dryden. Lol.

Habs fans say Prust will probably not play because Galchenyuk will return from injury.

If so, that's one less factor Kreider has to worry about.

But I got a feeling there will be some surprises in their lineup, we may even see Parros. Habs coach is pissed.

I'd be more pissed as a coach that my defenseman constantly got beat to the outside, and then the inside which lead to them tripping Kreider down into Price. I mean come on. This is still the NHL right?

The Habs can do whatever they want to try to do. Go ahead. The refs will be calling it tight on both sides of the rink tonight when it comes to the goalies. Its unfortunate, no doubt but its hockey. Like i said, id rather see Price in the crease tonight.

The Rangers dont need to focus on anything other than playing a sound game. Kreider needs to play the same exact game. If he goes into the goalie again the same way and gets a penalty for it, so be it. Dont entertain any of the other garbage. Thats what got Philly and Pitt away from their game. Look how that worked out for them.

All the Rangers have to do tonight is play a solid game and what will be will be. They already took one in Montreal and given their history there, i think you would sign up in a heartbeat for a split coming back to the Garden.

Continue to worry about yourself and stay in a straight line if your the Rangers. Dont entertain any of the nonsense. Either way, come Thursday the Garden will be rocking and the Rangers will have the momentum if they seize the moment early on.

This is yet another challenge for the Rangers, Price being out. It really is. But it reinforces what these playoffs have been all about for the Rangers. The bigger picture. Playing for one another, as a team. Not getting caught up in the little things. The past is the past and they have a game tonight to win. and theyll have another on Thursday.

Reminds me of the scene from Fast Times at Ridgemont High when they wrecked the car:

My brother's going to ****, My brother's going to kill us..... Make up your mind dude is he going to ****? or is he going to kill us?

Looks like Shawn didn't actually watch the replay.

Yup, it certainly is reckless to get tripped from behind and have your skate lose it's edge while going ~ 23mph and trying to stop.

How is that not a penalty on the Habs lol

And if you watch the end of the play Kreider does try to stop, he turns his left ankle and hits ice. Its an instinct. His first priority is to score there so hes getting the shot off mid-air.

Awful to hear if you're a MTL fan but injuries happen. Brass got hurt on a pretty reckless play when he didn't have the puck, **** happens. I don't think it was intentional at all but when a guy his size goes flying into anyone, not just a goalie, its going to hurt. Tonight will be huge if we win because it will put the whole backup goalie stigma behind us, hopefully they play the same way, play VERY disciplined, if MTL attacks our players, let them take the penalties and counter them/score. Lets go Rangers.

He's quoting the Habs and showing how they've changed their opinion based on the results.
