Pretty solid draft.

Damn Dallas has some fine young prospects in their system already too.

Thanks for participating.
Yeah, I'm pretty happy. But this draft is just very deep so that helped a lot. Looks much deeper than last year's. Duke is rated 3rd round by like 5 agency and I got him in the 7th. And people drafted very well in the first 6 rounds too.

Washington selects forward Ben King from the Red Deer Rebels.

19. W Jimmy Snuggerud
46. C Matyas Sapovaliv
83. W Jack Devine
147. W Brady Stonehouse
179. W Kasper Lundell
211. C Ben King

The strategy was to get projectable players considering the low amount of picks and a rebuild that should follow in a couple of years. Even if there has been a poster vocal about apparent shortcomings in hockey IQ for Snuggerud, I don't believe this is an issue and I think he is a surefire player with solid upside. Sapovaliv and Devine have games that project very well. Stonehouse has impressed me each viewings with his tenacity and high-tempo game. Lundell has had a tough year but he was a player I really liked as an underage and I think he can bounce back. King is an overager who had a tremendous season, and at this point in the draft there were slim pickings remaining in my list.

Weird that it was a very D heavy draft, but my BPA was always amongst the forwards. I guess everyone is high on the top Dmen as well.

At #212, Nashville takes C Daimon Gardner, Warroad, MN HS

Draft:

1 - 20) Filip Mesar
3 - 82) Marcus Nguyen
3 - 84) Tyson Jugnauth
4 - 116) Mathew Ward
5 - 148) Joel Jonsson
7 - 212) Daimon Gardner

Lots of moonshots here:

- I have Mesar in my top 15
- Jugnauth in the 2nd
- Nguyen, I obviously like more than most, but I also think he has an Adam Beckman/Evangelista year coming
- I'm not that high on Ward, but in the 4th, sure
- Jonsson has a lot of skill but is tiny, wildcard
- Gardner raw power C, shot in the dark

@CristianoRonaldo is up!

You guys are both done, so please post your final draft.

Thanks for playing!
