We'd like to thank the host Montreal Canadiens as well as the good people at Chez Paree for the great hospitality this week. With the 39th pick of the 2022 NHL entry draft and the first draft pick of our new regime, the Chicago Blackhawks are pleased to draft from the USA U18 Program...Ryan Chesley.

Ryan is a solid dman in all areas and has a high floor. Although not an offensive dynamo, we really like his skating, hockey IQ, gap control, compete level and physical presence. We project him to be a top 4 right shooting dman who plays on the top PK unit. Ryan will continue his development this upcoming season at the University of Minnesota.

I will PM @NotProkofievian of the Buffalo Sabres.

He was on my shortlist.

:wings are pleased to select, from the USNTDP, D Lane Hutson

"A shifty, dynamic, undersized, and feisty offensive defenseman. We're very fond of Hutson's escapability and positional awareness with the puck, as well as his top notch edgework which he's able to use to his advantage to find skating, passing, and shooting lanes in the offensive zone."

Juraj Slafkovsky drafted at #4 and Jack Hughes drafted at 36 are happy to be part of New Jersey Devils.

After being drafted by Devils, Slafkovsky say that he can't believe that he is going to play with Jack Hughes, "he is a incredible hockey player, he is fast, he is super talented, he is a elite playmaker, i'm going to have fun on ice and off ice with him"

"I believe that i'm a perfect fit for a team like New Jersey, I really like their roster and they have a very good forward group".

Jack Hughes, the another Jack Hughes said that he know his name is going to be a very big pressure for him, he don't want to be a another Jack Hughes, he know that he don't have his talent, but he believe his chance to become a very good hockey player, "I'm not the Jack Hughes of Devils, i'm another type of player, i believe in my skillz, I play a mature two-way game and I know New Jersey love my style of game and they really wanted me"

"I believe that I fit perfectly on that forward group, they already have very good C's with Hughes and Hischier, but i really want to become a solid 3 C in this league and third line center who play two-way game is very valuable in this league, I want to be a valuable player for this team".

KevSkillz4 the GM of New Jersey Devils is very happy with Slafkovsky and Hughes, he know that his team need a defenseman, but he wanted to create a fun team to watch for long time.

"We are in good hands with Dougie Hamilton, Damon Severson, Ryan Graves, Ty Smith and Luke Hughes, i wanted to create a nasty offense team and with Slafkovsky, Hughes, Hughes 2.0, Holtz, Hischier, Mercer, Bratt, Sharangovich, Zacha, Johnsson, this team have strong offense for many years to come and i'm happy with that".

It would be hilarious if NJD did draft Jack Hughes 2.0.

With the 37th pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, the Arizona Coyotes are proud to select from Waterloo of the United States Hockey League, Defenseman, Sam Rinzel!

View attachment 529985

"Take Scott Morrow from last year's draft, put him in a 6'4" frame and improve some of his offensive and defensive game. That's the upside we see here with Sam Rinzel. A first round talent that might fall to a team here because of playing in USHS for most of the year."

Next GM will be PM'd.
In the SIM draft my first 4 picks for Montreal have been Wright, Ostlund, Goyette and Rinzel for like 6 rounds now. Severely under-rated.

"With our next selection in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, the Arizona Coyotes are proud to select, once again from the Djurgarden program in Sweden, defenseman, Calle Odelius!"

"Calle is a smooth skating defenseman with excellent agility and edgework. Able to be deceptive on the blueline, create lanes and get passes and pucks to the net. A high IQ defender we really like his upside."

Arizona picks thus far:
1. Shane Wright
2. Noah Ostlund
3. Adam Ingram
4. Jiri Kulich
5. Sam Rinzel
6. Calle Odelius

Next GM will be PM'd

The Anaheim Ducks select, once again from the Mississauge Steelheads, Owen Beck.
