We're talking about what ifs and projections here, not exactly something useful at the current state and there's always a chance that he may never be useful. Also the kid is what, 19 years old? That doesn't really fit with the timeline of our current young stars since the big ones are in their mid-20s. If Yzerman is gonna get a kid like this, he needs to bring him in a package which also involves another young decent player that will benefit the lineup today.
Someone around these boards suggested Peterka, Beaudoin, and a 1st round pick if we're dealing with Utah, and to me that's a lot better package than a deal centered around this Desnoyers kids.
