False. He's playing 11 min a game, which is basically 4th line minutes. He's been clearly in the doghouse this year which explains why he has such poor numbers. As for the reason why he's in the doghouse, Yotes fans havent been able to explain it AFAIK.

I didn't realize he was at that point, he must have really tailed off to get there. But it supports what I said about determining his trade value....that value could be less than people here are thinking.

His coach has an irrational dislike for him + he has been snakebitten despite generating chances.

OK. Just saw that ARI was third to last in GA/G. Goligoski is older than the oldest of the Dmen I mentioned by 4-9 years, and is paid more, and is some cases significantly more, than all of the players I mentioned.

Seems to me that your defence could use an upgrade.

Lol. Exactly. Coyotes have a bottom 3 roster on paper, none of their positions are good enough to not have an upgrade. Good luck with that top 4

Naturally. It must be a completely decision by the coach instead of some actual reason that they've chosen not to make public smh

Why is everyone assuming there's something wrong with him behind the scenes?

Rumored character issues have plagued him off and on throughout his career and before his draft. Red flags....I would be staying away from him without doing some serious homework on his rumored character issues.

Wait why are we sending a better player, in a more important position, AND a 1st for Duclair? Come on dude...

Because people keep offering Vatanen as if that's a reasonable 1 for 1 so now they think all Ducks fans are clueless.

His shooting percentage was 19% last year. This year it's down to 4.8%. Obviously that explains some of his "regression" at least in terms of raw stats.

Our defense itself doesn't seem to be the problem either. The main issue stems from an inability for the team to actually transition the puck once they get it, so it gets turned over and the other team gets opportunity after opportunity. Something is bound to go in eventually and I think that's why the holistic defensive stats might indicate the defense is poor. It's really a case of the offense being so incapable of applying any kind of sustained pressure, if they can even get it into the zone to begin with.

If you watch highlights from last year, watch how many plays Domi and Duclair make together. Our moron of a coach refuses to leave them together even though they flash greatness every time they play on the same line. Instead he buries Duclair and put Domi with Hanzal and Vrbata who completely negate his speed. There is nothing wrong with Duclair or his attitude. We have a coach that never has and probably never will develop an offensive player.

Duclair gets more points when he is with Domi as does every other coyote player. What does that tell you if he has to rely on Domi?

Disagree. Both are better together just like Hanzal and Vrbata are way better together than they are with anyone else. But they are vets so that's ok in Tippett land.

Theodore + 1st from Anaheim?

The Ducks add a 1st to the more valuable player?

There are other reasons to want to move Vatanen though.
He wont be protected in the expansion draft.
He is 5 mil a year and we have 2 defensemen that can step in to take over the PPQB duty.

The idea of "move Vatanen" is one thing even though it totally screws over the right side. Throwing him away for far less than he's worth is a whole nother ball of wax. Vatanen is a bonafide top 4 RHD that can qb a PP and is signed long term for under 5M. That is the literally holy grail of what teams want right now. Were he offered in the open market tomorrow I have no doubt the Ducks would have 10 better offers than Duclair on the table for him before noon.

Yep if we do trade Vatanen we need more then just Duclair and am sure we would get a better offer.
