Show up early! The pregame ceremony begins at 3:30, a full 90 minutes before the game

I’ve been wondering why this one feels less exciting or whatever than the others and I think it’s just the passage of time. Weird to think it’s been almost 9 years since Eric last played for the Canes. The other retirement ceremonies were for guys that basically retired as Canes and stayed within the greater context of the organization. Staal hasn’t felt like a Cane for awhile. I hope this ceremony moves the needle in my head toward Eric being back within the organization.

Seeing the current crowd makes me realize how many new fans there are in our fanbase. Imagine most of them never even watched E. Staal play for us. Stadium is half empty so far for the ceremony. I remember the Brindy, Francis, Wesley ceremonies being loud, packed, occasions.
I also wonder how much of it is all the new premium club options and whatnot. How many of those people in the expensive seats are off enjoying the amenities rather than sitting in their seat?

The watch ad read in the middle of the ceremony was a bit odd...

Felt like a Price is Right product read lol

I really don’t like thinking about that.
