I really don’t like thinking about that.

or let's make a deal

Some of these retired hockey players have aged in a good way. I like the giant, bushy, grey beard that Patrick Eaves has created. It's weird to see a completely-bald Chad LaRose, but it looks way better to shave it all off, Stepan-style, than to be like some of these guys who try desperately to hold onto their puny hairline for dear life.

I hadn’t seen Whitney in awhile. He’s a handsome man.

Who takes the ceremonial faceoff for the Ducks? Gudas is the captain which is funny.

IMO nothing would be more fitting than a J Staal/Brian Dumoulin faceoff, a nod to a thing that made Eric happy while he was here.
The last really positive thing he did for the org was the 2009 run over 15 years ago.

He's a big what if for me. What if he didn't end up on a team where he won the cup immediately, a team that was just happy their transcendent stat willingly signed a second contract with no drama and didn't push him, leading to a country club atmosphere? He basically admitted when he went to the Rags and sucked eggs was a wakeup call he had to start taking conditioning seriously. Weird legacy, the new team has attracted a ton of new fans and old fans like me have moved on
