Ducks 3rd Jersey, Uniforms & Logo Discussion continued

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Probably best to give Wild Wing actual eyes with an orange iris.

Yeah I'd be curious to see if they even mocked up doing it another way. There were probably ways to make it work.

Looking again, I think some of it is that it's just a flat and very bad, dull shade of orange. They should've looked at the eyes on Gibby's old mask.

I was trying to figure out where I had seen the orange eyes before and this is it. Yeah if they would have used some shading like this it would be 100x better.

The new WW eyes look like a bad cartoon fly

I don't overly care about mascots generally, and if they don't change it, I won't lose any sleep, but yeah that eye change on Wild Wing is beating a dead horse on the "Orange Country" insistence and it looks bad. How many mascots look nothing like the logo? Why do they need to change a look that has worked well for decades?

Mine just came today, it doesn’t run as small as the Facebook groups made it seem. Maybe slightly smaller than others but nothing crazy. If you are worried maybe go a size up but for my size (54) it ran similar to my others.

Interesting. I just took your lead and put in the same order and they told me it should be shipped to my place in Vegas sometime next week. Somehow the price I paid for an authentic including customization and shipping is less than what a blank authentic pre-order is running for online. Not by a lot, but still. I'm nervous they're sending me the wrong jersey even though they assured me like three times it's the new home jersey.

Well... apparently you're more likeable over the phone than I am! :oops:

You actually made me worry, so I called and checked on my order too. I don't know if the jersey they're selling is the same as the authentic pro pre-order that's online. I compared the photos of the $200 (+125 for customization) jersey from the team store website (the one I got) and the Authentic Pro from the fanatics site. They both have the same neck design and stitching, the same fanatics patch on the back and both seem to have a fight strap. They look like they have different writing inside the neck though. So, I'm not really sure.

They also gave me the update that mine could be ready for pick up in a couple days now. :thumbu:

The team store at Honda Center. I placed the order over the phone. I was nervous they might get the order wrong but everything went smoothly other than not getting a confirmation email but the order was right so no worries.

It's done making the trip to Vegas. Looks great in person. For anyone thinking of getting one, take my advice that I took from the team store. Get one size up. This fits the way my usual size does and I couldn't imagine how tight it would be if I didn't.

I 100% agree on getting a size up. I didn't do it and mine is almost fitted. Time to hit the gym I guess. The gold looks much better than I thought on these jerseys. Mine was ready ahead of schedule. It was ready last Friday, 9/27.

The thing is you almost don't want it to be fitted. Like if you decide to wear it somewhere cold and want to throw it over a warm jacket, if it's fitted it's gonna look like shit. For a hockey player on the ice fitted looks good but as sports fan attire it's better to be a bit loose. Like I'm tall, wide shoulders and long arms, but I'm not overweight, I still ordered the 3XL and the fact that it fits me the way it does indicates that Fanatics messed something up with their sizing. I've never worn a 3XL anything in my life other than a jersey my brother bought me that fits me like a trash bag.

I agree.

I like to throw sweatshirts on under my jerseys sometimes when it's cold. I have a Perry XL that's perfect for that, but it's a little oversized without it. I have a Kesler L that fits and looks better if I'm not wearing layers. So I got the L in this jersey and it fits more like a shirt than my other Kesler L.
