Colorado definitely would approve of that trade.

I don't even see how the Sens win another game with that lineup after those trades.

We're already going to have fun with the cap this off season, and Stone will command a lot more than Neals 5.75. We just can't afford to keep him, and that's way too much for us to be paying for a rental, regardless of how good he is.
Exactly. Also, giving up Andersson & a 1st for a guy we can't afford to re-sign would be a mistake.

Getting rid of the Neal contract is enticing, but I’m still not sure we’d have enough cap to resign Stone with Tkachuk due to be signed. For that reason Calgary can’t afford to pay that price for a rental. Andersson is our only quality RHD prospect right now, we have more depth on the left side
We are not trading Anderson or Neal I think he will come around at playoff time I would not touch the flames mybe get a cheap player like Kunitz for a 3rd rounder or get Ferland back

Why the hell would the flames trade their best young defender and two firsts for a ufa? We couldnt even afford to sign him long term even after removing Neal, who still hasn't been a liability despite not scoring.
Yes I agree way to much we don't need stone we need 2 players to fill the 4th and 3rd line

So was the Nino trade if someone posted it 1 day before it happened.
What a dumb comment. So you compound a bad trade by making another bad trade? Minnesota hasn't lost since Rask has been playing for the Wild. Him playing center allows Coyle to play top 6 right wing. Nino was stuck on the 4th line behind a plethora of LW: Parise, Zucker, Greenway.

I don't think Broissoit or Perreault would be deal breakers for the Sens. A guy like Comrie may work instead of Broissoit and Perreault was presumably in there to off-set cap.

Deal still may not make sense for the Jets, but those two shouldn't be the hold up.

Ottawa, Melnyk, taking on salary? Umm no.

DUCHENE IS NOT GOING TO WINNIPEG!!!

We do not need Matt Duchene, it wouldn't make sense to trade for him, why do people think we need him? If we were going to consider trading with Ottawa we'd be trading for Erik Karlsson, but since that ship has sailed to its final destination, Thomas Chabot. I don't know why people think Duchene is getting traded to the Jets, but it won't happen.

If anything is happening with the Jets, they'll probably trade Trouba away for a RHD that we really need.

I think if anywhere Duchene gets traded to it's either the Islanders, Stars, Canucks or Flames.

I think I might do it for Edmonton if you thought you could sign Dzingel.

Pageau would be a real good add and would allow the team to build three solid lines instead of 1.5.

Dzingel - McDavid- Chiasson

Nuge - Drai - Puljujarvi

Khaira - Pageau - Rieder

Lucic - Brodziak - Kassian

Might be enough to sneak into the playoffs with how weak the west is and having Pageau that cheap for next year would be a big advantage plus it gets rid of Spooner.

Make it a top 3 protected 1st and I'd definitely think about it.

Jack Roslovic would be an intriguing trade target for the Penguins

the jets are probably gonna trade for brassard instead and surrender roslovic

The likelihood of the Jets giving up Roslovic for “Brassard” is about as likely as me winning the Lottery today. Zero chance of that happening.....can’t believe any writer would even suggest or hint at something so silly. Reports are multi teams have asked about Roslovic and Chevy has reportedly said he’s not available.

God I hope not

Not much to worry about it happening just a wishful writer/blogger......Chevy didn’t become one of the better GM’s by doing such a dumb trade as that.

Has anyone ever had 3 firsts in back to back years? Even 5 seconds in two years? You could build such a good pool if done right. 11 top 2 round picks in 2 years.
Habs didn't have that many firsts but they had 5 2nds over the past 2 years along with our firsts and another 2 2nds this year along with our first. It's why our prospect pool has ramped up so quickly along with the Suzuki trade.

That’s the way to do it. The flyers have had 6 top 2 round picks the last two years, including 4 firsts - got us Farabee, Patrick, Frost.

Actually have had 2 firsts 3/4 years which has been fruitful - Provorov, Konecny, Patrick, Frost, Farabee. Hit on all of them. O’Brien has had injuries but could be a hit as well.

Going back even farther we got Richards and Carter in that awesome draft year. The Bs got good players with their 3 in a row - could have been spectacular. Yea I’d go for getting as many firsts as possible haha.

That's what you took out of what I was saying? I'm saying if someone here proposed that Nino trade every Minnesota fan would have laughed at the trade idea and say something along along the lines of "you're nuts, no way, will take way more to get Nino" etc. The point is many times trades never go as expected. Just look at us sending you Nino for Clutterbuck for example.
