Can we keep both Doughty and Kopi? Thats a lot of money, id rather spend it on a forward and a dman then say Chicago with both or there forwards in the 10s. But can we compete with both making that money, If it comes down to one, which do you keep. I would want to keep Doughty always keep the D.
Ok, can we find a way to stop Doughty aging and turn back time for Kopitar?
F Doughty and Kopitar, if you can do this I want to know about it.
Doesn't make sense to trade Doughty and not Kopitar as well since at that point your doing a full rebuild.
If you can trade Kopitar. He has an NTC and a contract most teams would not want.

I don't think there's a single team that would take Kopitar and his contract.
That's very debatable. This is not a Brown level drop off we're talking about. Not yet, at least.
But that's still a $10 million cap hit for 7 more seasons. Unless a team is offloading an extremely high cap hit (or two) themselves, I just don't see it.
disagree teams who need a number one center would be all over it (Montreal comes to mind)
If Montreal would be "all over it" the Kings should ask for Galchenyuk, Lehkonen, and a 1st.
I wouldn't Kopitar has been a stud his entire career expect last year. I think he deserves the chance to show it was a fluke year.

Not in this CAP era, can't see a GM taking on 30 yr old center at 10M for 7 more years. He's got 2 maybe 3 more where he should produce in the 65 pt range.
Lombardi made his bed and the Kings now have to sleep in it.
Really hard to predict how he'll perform in a few years. Some guys just seem to keep going into their mid thirties. Hopefully big bodied kopi will age well
I get why some of you say this (wishful thinking), but it's really not true. The odds are he will not produce at a rate one expects from a 1C, maybe as soon as now.
I get why some of you say this (negative nancy's) but some guys do produce well into their mid thirties.
Instead of all the " i told you so's " re contracts etc, cant you let people just enjoy the team we have. Its like a depression meeting for slit your wrists anonomous on this board sometimes. Every ****ing thread turns into a negative nancy moanathon.
