Jarome Iginla traded to PIT for PIT's 1st rounder in 2013 and college prospects Kenneth Agostino (Yale) and Ben Hanowski (St. Cloud State).

Oh jeez.

Fantastic. I feel like Boston will give us a good deal on Clowe now. This is exactly what I was hoping for.

If any Bruins fans were laughing it up an hour ago, I don't feel sorry for them.

Now how about a little 1st + Koko action for Clowey??

God awful return IMO. Oh to be a Flames fan... I feel for those guys. DW has his faults... but Feaster...wow

DW is the anti-Feaster when it comes to big trades. I don't think he's gotten bent over before. At worst, it's been draws. Now, signing bottom-pairing defensemen and 4th liners on the other hand...

I feel like Shero and DW are butt buddies. I mean seriously, 2 2nds for Murray, then Shero goes and grabs the 2 comparable forwards to Clowe in trades. He's helping DW so much.

Feaster said Iginla made the call on PIT. Added the draft choice is not conditional.

"Hey Iggy, do you want to play with David Krejci, or Sidney Crosby?"

Pittsburgh bulking up before the deadline only puts more pressure on other Eastern teams to do the same ... Shero just drove up the price for Clowe. Good job, sir.

I could see him getting traded now that Boston missed out on Iggy, all it takes is 2 teams for a bidding war and one between Montreal and Boston would be glorious.

The thing about Doug is, he puts too high a premium on Cup experience and "grit" in depth players like Wallin and Burish for 2 examples, and he has made some bad prospect for depth players trades. However, we can at least thank that he has not made any super awful big trades.

With that said, which do you prefer? 60th and 50-60th, or 30th? Cause Doug got one for Douglas Murray, and Feaster got one for Jarome Iginla, basically.

I try to forget that one... but I've always looked at that as a salary dump and not a big trade. Big trades to me are the ones that send legit NHL players or high draft picks both ways and not Ehrhoff for... nothing. Although I guess the Sharks did get a 2nd out of it if I'm correct.
