Look at the whole picture. Dubas absolutely wrecked this thimg and sabotaged the next GM. Like what can we even trade away for help?

Lol I’d say that’s more on Shanahan. Shanahan allowed Dubas to make these moves despite not giving him a contract. The mandate was to try and win and that costs you picks.

Imagine Dubas had kept all those picks and never tried to improve at the deadline. You guys would be freaking out even more that he never tried to get them over the hump.
Imagine being a so called favourite to win the Cup, and then deciding we should change a third of the roster at the deadline. Utter madness.

Fair point, but it should be abundantly clear by now that this group is not a rental or two away from winning 16 playoff games.

If Dubas was prevented from making more major changes but wanted himself to do so, then I guess I owe him a bit of an apology.
That last presser was really the first time Dubas indicated there needs to be changes. I think there was also a report recently that if Dubas was kept, Keefe was gone but things changed when he was let go.

I really liked Matthew Mania in the games I tracked, hopefully he is an option with the Leafs next pick. Good upside pick down the road if things break right in his development.

Any of our elite forwards in their primes? Dubas didn’t force Treliving to keep the entire team, that’s Shanahan.

I have to wonder. If Dubas hadn't traded picks at the deadline, how many of those posters who are complaining about having no picks would have been raking Dubas over the coals for not adding players when teams like the Bruins, Lightning, Rangers, and Devils were doing so?

I'd be happy with him as well, him, bergstrom, mukhanov, hellberg and Rimashevsky would all be solid.

Timur Mukhanov is easily the most talented guy on the board. I get his size is a concern, but he's talented.

Not me, I can tell you that much.

At this point, this team will go as far as the core will take them.
