This is a dubas sabotage. wes clark on purpose did this to screw the leafs

What a freakin' JOKE!

Should have traded down for a couple picks and gambled with those give dubas has basically emptied the cupboards.

Treliving not impressed at all. Make some decisions ffs
Relax lmao maybe it wasn't even Wes who did made this pick lol.

Only thing I know is that this kid is extremely agile and is pretty fast.

This could be a pick that looks a lot better a year from now if he has a strong year this year

He probably will His line with Barkey and the hopeful return of Winterton will be one of the top lines in the OHL next year IMO

This is my thing - if *everything goes right* for this guy in his next two years of development, he'll only just barely start to sniff cristall's current level. Just embarrassing for our staff really
Right but Cristall's offense either translates at the next level or he just isn't an NHL player. He isn't some slam dunk pick.

So for the 2nd year in a row we reached on a mid-3rd round pick caliber player. Great work.
Way to write off all our prospect
Craig Button knowa the score.

Problem is, we don't pick again until late on Sunday.

Shame about the rest of his production outside of those 20 games.
Where has regular season production gotten the Leafs recently?

Don't discount a guy who brings the heat when the goIng gets tough. You need a variety of different skill-sets to succeed and Cowan sounds like a guy who could complement a skill-heavy roster very well.

My guy, i understand Cristall has insane skill. But why have 29 picks gone and he’s still not picked? There’s something about him teams are clearly projecting as a deficiency.

I don't get the folks who would have preferred we trade down.

If you're trading down you might as well not make a 2023 pick in the top-half because you obviously aren't sold on any player

Weird take. I’m fine with what’s transpired but trading down would have made a ton of sense. You trade down if you think the guys you’re interested in will still be around later on and you want to add picks. Given how few we have this year, arguably would have been a very smart move to swap the 28 for a pair of seconds. That said, if this was our guy and most seen to agree that he’d have been around later, it probably indicates the trade back deal wasn’t there to be made
