Wahlstrom to my knowledge can play center but is more of a wing.

Chicago is rumored to be pretty high on Hayton - not impossible they'd be open to swapping 8 for 9 if they know they can get him.

Well let's say that the board breaks like this:

1.Dahlin
2.Svechnikov
3.Kotkaniemi
4.Zadina
5.Hughes
6.Tkachuk

Vancouver is sitting there knowing they want Bouchard or Dobson. They also know that Chicago and the Rangers are both hot on Wahlstrom. So it would make sense for them to see what they can get from either of them wanting to move up and guarantee they get their guy while Vancouver can comfortably move back 2 spots and get Bouchard or Dobson who were their targets all along, also adding whatever assets they net in the trade.

Kind of surprised that they don't have Dobson/Bouchard higher considering how long they have been wanting to trade for a top RD.

Keep in mind, it's not necessarily that they don't like certain guys, they just have guys they REALLY like.

It seems to be playing out the way many have said it would.

Gonna be a nice player available at 9.

Gonna be expensive to move up...even to 7.

Things could change quickly but looks more and more Rangers stand pat, imo.

AZ, OTT & VAN will look to start a bidding war and put a gun to our heads.

Gotta be real careful there.
