Even if we somehow miraculously pick in the 3-5 range, it wouldn't shock me if the Rangers went "off the board" and picked some guy who was predicted in the 18-30 range.

I'd be fine with it honestly. I like Zegras and Turcotte enough that I wouldn't be mad if the Rangers got them at 3.

I’m sorry. I want to get on board with this line of thinking but it just doesn’t work for me. Even if all of those players turn out great, how much is that going to help the Rangers considering that 7 other teams got an great player as well and several of those teams are starting from a deeper, more elite foundation. This team has to win the lottery at some point. This by committee shit needs to end.

Me as well. Big fan of what Zegras can be. He could be a Giroux esque player IMO.

Personally, I wouldn’t blink. And that’s a possibility that I’ve thought about for a while - the Rangers taking the same guy at 6 or 7 that they would’ve at 3 or 4.

i like all of the centers man. i can buy lofty projections for any of them. turcotte/zetterberg, cozens/carter, dach/spezza, zegras/giroux.

if the order goes a particular way i can see two defenseman in the top-6.

Just an example - but A team like Anaheim taking a guy like Broberg at 6 would be very in character

On the lower end for Kaliyev, but it wouldn’t shock me to see him there.

Having said that, I am potentially interested in exploring options to move up with that second pick.

If the Jets pick ends up in the 21-23 range I could easily see Kaliyev falling that far

he’s the prototype “why is he falling!” guy. like a tolvanen.

Zegras, Kaliyev, Fagemo would be a hell of a first round.

Now, if we get all four first rounders: Zegras (NYR)/Kaliyev (WPG)/Fagemo(DAL)/Seider(TBL)

After seeing what Tobbe said about Zegras, I'm starting to convince myself he's the pick, wherever they draft. Especially after what took place with Kravtsov last year.

He’s one of two guys whose given me a certain feeling about being more likely to be the Rangers pick.

There are other guys I really like as well, but I don’t get that same vibe from them.
