Draft and UDFA Thread 2018-19: Part VI (Lottery 04/09 8PM EST)

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Every team should choose a champion and they should have a battle royal with the last man standing's team getting the first pick.

I would watch that. I mean I plan on watching the lottery too, but I would rather watch that.

Every team would start finding a spot on their bench for a 500 pound monster...so while ridiculous yeah I could go for this.

You may be on to something, the Rangers just named "The Mountain" from Game of Thrones their new assistant GM.
 
Also- side note- the NHL should re-implement a supplemental draft for players who don't sign with the team that drafts them after a certain number of years.

Making the GMs duke it out would be great.

Or better yet every teams color commentator gets in the ring. I would love to see Joe Micheletti fight for our pick with malice in his eyes.

I really like Seider. He's a definite wild card so I can't really say where he's going to be selected but I wouldn't be surprised if it's at 15 or 31.

Going to be pretty unhappy if we leave this draft without a righty defenseman in the first two rounds, especially if we have five or six picks to work with.

Wait until the pick is Broberg.....at 9

Seriously, expecting to drop to 8th. Either Boldy or Podkolzin falls.

I'd be doing back-flips if we could grab Seider with WPG's 1st.

Yeah, all ready for that too. When your team just misses out on the guys you like for almost 10 years in a row kind of getting used to that kind of disappointment. Though, last year I was kind of shocked after we hired Quinn that we didn't move up for Tkachuk, who was my favorite for our pick after Koktaniemi. On one hand, it's gratifying to know that the professionals are thinking the same way ;)

This year my guy is Zegras, but if we pick at 9 like last year, coming away with Broberg is not the end of the world, just like Kravstov last year.
