NYR just tweeted a 1 minute adam graves interview with some video footage from the combine, can anyone put prospect names to faces to see who they were interviewing (besides hughes).

Also brought a smile to my face to see JD working the room.

Either one of these players would be a great fit in the Rangers rebuild. If the Rangers had the opportunity to land either player in a deal for Zibanejad, they should do it.

The Rangers supposedly would like to acquire another top pick in this draft. That’s what Brooks has reported. It won’t be easy. Instead of trying to gather up enough assets to move up, just trade Zibanejad. The Rangers won’t be a better team next season but they will be a better team down the road which is what the Rangers building up for with their moves. It probably won’t be enough to get Turcotte.

Zibanejad has the most trade value on the Rangers.

While I often agree with your takes, to me the time to trade Zibanejad is not now, although true his pending clause may mean it's now or never.

My concern in them doing so, I'm not sold on the picks past #2 in this draft to the point where I think the risk is worth it. If they could find a similar trade which brought Zibanejad to the Rangers, that is a little different.

If the Rangers are sold enough on one of these prospects to do so, it would be a truly ballsy move.

Also brought a smile to my face to see JD working the room.

Hughes, Caufield, Krebs and I think I saw Suzuki and Beecher.

I think that's Afanasyev that bows after his interview LOL

Ryan Johnson is there. One looks like Heinola. One looks like Caufield. I think one is Jordan Spence.

I'll watch it a thousand more times and get back to ya.....

If Gorton can add a pick in the early teens without giving up #20, I’d love to find a way to get Broberg with that third 1st. I think he has skills that the Rangers don’t currently have in their group on LD.

I can't imagine Broberg sliding that far in this draft. With few A+ looking defensive prospects at the top of the draft, he will go early. As high as #6, IMO.

I think the only fart there was in Clark's head wasting away a high draft pick. Should have taken Akil Thomas

And what has Akil Thomas done since the draft to justify this take? I am not saying he has been bad, but this constant back-peddling to the 2018 draft and saying we missed out on some sure-fire stars is nonsense.

he has proven nothing...but you've several times have pointed to our lack of forward prospects, that group would look better with thomas than another goalie

Very good listen for whoever has the time. Russ Cohen thinks that whoever can get Filip Koffer will get a steal. Says he's one of those players who get very little exposure to the main stream and yet performs like a prospect capable of being drafted high. Could look out for this guy!!

Also mentions that he interviewed Nolan Foote and that he played hurt all year and STILL scored 36 goals!! Despite his speed, that's incredibly impressive!!

I don't necessarily disagree Lindbom was a bad pick. He was, purely based on the position he plays. I would never draft a goalie in the first 3 rounds. But to use Akil Thomas as a reason why Lindbom is a bad pick is crazy.

Here's the video....

From first to last....

1. Moritz Seider
2. Alex Newhook
3. Jack Hughes
4. Cole Caufield
5. Peyton Krebs
6. Ryder Donovan (the guy who bows)
7. Cade Webber
8. Philip Broberg???
9. Jordan Spence

Def. could be Broberg.

I mean would anyone be terribly upset with a first that goes Kakko, Newhook/Broberg, Seider?

Not far off from what I’m hoping for...Newhook is my pick for a trade up, since I think he’s more likely in a less expensive range than Zegras. And, both Broberg and Seider have skillsets that the Rangers don’t have at their respective positions.

Well the Rangers would've spent extensive time looking at Newhook, so they should have a familiarity with him.

And coming away with Newhook and Seider would def. fall in line with focusing on higher-end upside.
