Hayes to me is much more of a Comparable player to Dach. Big bodied, and uses his strength to his advantage. I think he is deceptive when he has the puck, much in the same way Hayes can be. He’s really effective moving the puck through traffic, and makes some really creative passes when it doesn’t appear to have room to make a play. Protects the puck well with his size, and reach like Hayes does too. Not so concerned with his skating, seems like he does lack high end speed but he does move pretty good. He also to me looks really solid in his awareness as a two-way type of Centerman.
That does not appear at all to be a projection of a player most consider to have a pretty good chance of being a top line center at the NHL level.

It's funny, Dach is a guy this board has been high and low on at different times throughout the year.

Which means he's probably going to be the Rangers pick --- if for no other reason than so that we can experience the joy of passionately going back and forth debating his upside for the next four or five seasons of his development.

Forget our on-ice needs. This board needs new players to argue about for the next half-decade.

That i guess is the million dollar question. Not too many players that have the size combo to go with his vision, and his skill level. Because of the size factor, i do think he will draft higher then some of the others. I feel like big centers always have more value to an organization. I have no idea where he will end up career-wise. I wouldn't rule out first line center. He's a tremendous player. I just didn't like the Getzlaf comparision.

Yeah i wouldn’t say Getzlaf for Dach, I’d say he reminds me more of Spezza. Big, lanky playmaker, not plus skaters.

I hope Dach’s skating issues have him drop to us. Really, I just want one of these Cs: Dach/Cozens/Turcotte/Zegras. Would be ecstatic with any of them. Byram as well, obviously, though I think he’s a lock for the top-5.

Well, any pick in the top 7 would have the option of at least one of them.

Or if it's 1 or 2, I will get completely wasted celebrating.
Come, come now Edge. We have been Ranger fans for far too long and been posting on here for far too long to know the dangers of hoping for any such miracles.

The Chiefs got Mahomes, that franchise makes the Rangers look lucky

I don’t wanna hear about the past, fate intervenes when it’s ready

1 Cup in going on 79 years. Fate sure is taking it's time intervening for the Rangers. Unless 1994 was the intervention and that's all we get.

I'll admit it's in the back of my mind, though I spend most of my time thinking about the guys I have ranked 3-12. Those are the guys most likely in play for my Blueshirts.

I'm telling you as a Jet fan.. Things are changing.. You can almost sense it...

If the NYJ can land a QB then the NYR can land a 'franchise C.'

Until they draft Spencer

What are everyone’s thoughts on Boldy? Can his offensive upside be compared to Dach, Cozens, Turcotte, etc? Or is he a tier below them in that facet?

I would be surprised if we picked Dach, very surprised. I don’t know how he is off ice, but I don’t think our crew would go for someone that moves like him.
