L'Heureux already up to 5 points in the first three games of the season. If he keeps this up, he's going to get his look in the NHL sooner than later, I would think. Of course, knowing this organization nothing is a given.
Vinnie Hinostroza has 2G 5A for 7 points!

Edit: My wife told me that L'Heureux was called up to Nashville.

The first place Admirals (4-1) won 4-2 at Iowa (0-5), usually a hard place to win.
Matt Murray had 30 saves. Jesper Wallstedt gave up 3 goals.

The 4th goal was a ENG by Kevin Wall.
The other Ads goal was by Svechkov!

The Stars of the Game were:

Vinnie Hinostroza 1G 1A
Reid Schaefer 1G
Nick Blankenburg 2A

The next game has the 6th place Chicago Wolves (1-2) coming to town on Friday at 7 PM after a 5-0 loss at Hershey.

The Ads won at Chicago 4-1 in their only game so far. O'Reilly had 4 points.

The Ads have 19G in 5 games for 3.80 GPG.

Schaefer now up to 4G in 5 games.... last seasons total was 7G 14A in 63 games.

Hinostroza was a great vet addition as well and good to see Svechkov on the scoreboard coming back from back from injury

Svech is just being Svech! We like him in Milwaukee.

Chrona (1-1) is in goal. WIlsby and Ufko. Up front Schaefer, Lucchini and Hinostroza.

Vinnie is tied for the league lead in points with nine.

One of the refs is a woman, Samantha Hiller. This will be my first AHL game with a woman being a ref. I have seen some international U-18 games in Madison two summers ago with all women officials. Last season, the Ads had a woman Linesperson.

The Wolves dominated the first 7 minutes, with 3 SOG to zero for the Admirals. On an Icing, Chicago had 9 players on the ice! Hiller made one of them come back off the bench. The other ref talked to the Wolves captain about there being six skaters on the ice for the puck drop. Montgomery went off. He was one of the 5 original skaters. I saw Ozzy crush him on the end boards shortly before the Icing call.

When is Chicago going to get penalized for doing all of this Unsportsmanlike Conduct? It was all a big circus stall to buy 20 seconds before the puck drop!

Fensore grabbed Bellows in front of me. Bellows heaved him off like an old pillow! Fensore was holding Schaefer before and after the face off. Schaefer gets a minor for Slashing Fensore. SOG 12-4 Chicago. The Wolves had 2 shots on the PP. Nine seconds carry over to period 2.

Chicago skated hard and pulled their usual illegal Slap Shot like tactics.

Chicago still skating hard and limiting the Ads shots. Ratcliffe just hit the left post. Martin is sloppy is not good at catching the puck! The Ads need more shots. Ratcliffe was punched in the face by 2 Wolves. The refs even it up? The Wolves could have been called for 3 penalties in that mess, instead of one! Another player was trying to manhandle Ozzy at the same time when he tried to make it 2-on-2 in the scrum.

Ref Beau Halkidis needs some time in the ECHL!

Ads called for 2 penalties! What total garbage! Wolves get one PPG courtesy of the incompetent refs! Most Beau Halkidis. Wolves for High Sticking, #2 Fensore against Schaefer in the neutral zone. This goalie keeps flopping out of the net and gets away with it. Eventually, the Ads will make Martin pay for being down and out!

Fensore called for High Sticking Ratcliffe. That isn't easy to do! Ref Hiller called that one. Svechkov scores a PPG on his own rebound and slid the puck in behind Floppy Martin. O'Reilly with the assist.

Schaefer just hammered somebody in front of the Ads bench! I am surprised that the guy (#13) got up. It was a loud boom from 150 feet away. Ads had a shot off a face off. Martin was looking behind him. Wolves starting trouble in two spots as the horn sounds. No penalties called on either team.

It is hard to believe that the Wolves are the least penalized team in the AHL. They commit a penalty nearly every minute!

Total SOG 20-17 Wolves, but 13-8 Ads in the period.

Period 3 starts with Ozzy being sat on in the Chicago crease as the puck trickles away into the low slot. No call, of course! We need more Ads players near the net.

Lucchini misses the net from less than 10 feet. OMG, I could have scored. Big hitting by the Admirals. I think they are trying to wear the Wolves down. Halkidis calls an obvious trip on Chicago and they argue the call. Svech is smiling. He wants another goal.

Ads can't score with Martin completely out of the net! They should have 3 or 4 goals by now. Goal mouth scramble and the Ads don't score. Kemell is checking Wolves all over the ice. I don't think that he likes Chicago. Nine minutes left in regulation. The SOG are 24 each. Ufko just laid out Swaney at the Ads blue line. It was a legal check to the torso, but heavy. He may have had the wind knocked out of him. He could not get up and was helped to the bench.

Martin just knocked his net off on purpose. Everyone but the refs SAW IT. The "you can't do that" chant broke out. I guess you can?

The puck was laying in the Chicago crease and 3 Ads players could not poke it in. Then Martin lost his stick. The Ads cycled the puck for awhile and could not get a shot off. Martin was down on one knee and breathing hard after that. He seems tired. At 4 minutes left, the SOG are 28-25 Ads. Schaefer crushed Fensore on the end boards. The Ads really hate him! Regulation ends with Ozzy taking a shot, getting checked WAY LATE and Lowell putting his stick into Ozzy's right arm pit and dragging him some. SOG 31-26 Ads.

OT period. Lucchini, Vinnie and Blankenburg on for MKE. Vinnie skates past all three Wolves and fires the puck home from the high slot at 39 seconds of OT!. Wow, what a finish to a game! A standing ovation from the fans. The Admirals dominated the last 7 or 8 minutes of the game and the OT.

Chrona stood on his head the entire game. The Ads don't win the game without him.
He may be a real find. His GAA should be less than 2.00. (Murray's GAA is close to 2.00)

Edit: Chicago has scored 5 goals in 5 games this season.

Vinnie was the leading scorer last season for Rockford.

Svech is just being Svech! We like him in Milwaukee.
Vinnie played for the Pens last year and was good in WBS. He was in RFD ONLY for his ELC and not since 17-18.

Sent to Rochester from Sabres only to play youth, and WBS in Pittsburgh mainly so Sully could play youth and Jansen Harkins and his 0 goals in 46 gms.

He's a great asset to have in MKE and should get some looks up in the bigs. He is an NHL'r with speed but size hampers him in coaches eyes.

You are correct. Vinnie was in WBS last year. My info says he is 5'10" and 180 lbs. That makes him Ufko's and Ozzy's size.

My memory is too good by half.

The Admirals play at Chicago tonight.

The same starters as last night, except it is Murray is in goal. Wilsby and Ufko on defense. The front line was Reid Schaefer, Jake Lucchini and Vinnie Hinostroza.

Nine minutes into the game, Kieffer Bellows (2) scored, with assists to Kemel (2) and Wilsby (2).
Ninety seconds later, Joakim Kemell (2) scored with an assist to Luke Prokop (1).
In the last minute of the period, Kemell (3) scored again, with an assist to Navrin Mutter (1), to make it 3-0 Admirals. The SOG were 11-10 Chicago. The Wolves are 0 for 2 on the Power Play.
Strangely, the Admirals have no Power Plays since the Wolves have no penalties so far.

Kemell has three points in just one period. The Chicago goalie is Yaniv Perets.

In Period 2, Wilsby had his stick slashed in two and he was sent to the box for playing with a broken stick. Just more BS AHL refs tonight! How did that stick get broken, dumb, dumbs?
Navrin Mutter get a 10-minute Misconduct at the same time. (He probably told off the refs.)
The refs are Jarrod "The Big Ragu" Ragusin (#2) and Shaun (Of the Dead from the Neck Up) Davis (#31), no wonder!!! Schaefer with a big hit on Sorum on the PK. At 12:54 of the period, Chicago finally gets on the scoreboard to make it 3-1 Admirals. At 13:28. Bellows (3) goes 5-hole to make it 4-1 Admirals on 13 SOG. Svechkov (1) and Kemell (3) had the assists. Four points so far tonight for Kemell, 2G and 2A.

Bellows is called for a slash. He goes to the box and the Chicago player does not! Hmmm.
Chicago is 8 feet offside on the PP and no call by the Linesman. The Ads killed the penalty. Chicago is now 2 for 23 on their Power Outage. Milwaukee received all 3 penalties in the Second Period. SOG 14-6 for Chicago and 25-16 overall.

Jeff, the intermission guy, is talking about the 5 penalties for Milwaukee and 0 so far for Chicago. He said that the whole season has been like that, and the Admirals are NOT a dirty team!

The third period is underway. Just 45 seconds in, Kyle Marino is called for Roughing, making the Ads 6th penalty. Blankenburg is tripped and no call. Kemell hauled down on a breakaway and no call. (I guess the Ads have to get a finger chopped off before a call will be made?) Schaefer with a big hit on Heimosalmi. Chicago ices the puck two times in a row because they can't stretch pass!
Milwaukee ices the puck with 12:29 remaining. SOG 3-0 Chicago. The Wolves shoot the puck out of play. The Linesman claims it was deflected. Chicago has EIGHT players on the ice. The Wolves get called for Delay of Game!!! OMG!!! Hinostroza takes a heavy hit from behind. Morrow is sent at 9:26 for Boarding. It is now 5-on-3 Admirals PP. Lucchini, Kemell, Bellows, Hinostroza and Blankenburg are out on the ice for the PP. (The Chicago PK is 7 of 13 for 56%.) Kemell with a slapper PPG from the left circle to give him a Hatter and a 5-point game. Assists to Hinostroza (7) and Bellows (2). Chicago still has 1:12 of Penalty Time to kill. The score is now 5-1 Admirals.

Nashville GM Barry Trotz is watching in person! Svechkov took a puck off of the glass and into his face. He is holding his face, but Aaron Sims sees no blood. Svech goes off with the Trainer. Marino went after Morrow. Marino was grabbed from behind by another Wolves player. Marino goes to the box, then to the dressing room, with 2 for Roughing and a 10-minute Misconduct at 11:54. Chicago gets No penalty. Svechkov isn't coming back tonight. SOG 3-3, and 28-19 overall. The Ads kill the minor penalty. The Chicago fans have mostly left their feckless team behind! Bellows and Kemell went on a 2-on-1. Bellows tried to go 5-hole and Perets stopped it.

Chicago is now trying to goon it up after the whistle! Hinostroza goes to the box for Slashing. HE IS THE ONLY PLAYER GOING TO THE BOX WHEN 2 or 3 WOLVES were involved. MORE REFS BS!!!!!
Murray with 32 saves. Perets saved 15 of 20 SOG, HA, HA! Kemell with FIVE POINTS.

The Stars of the Game were Kemell, Bellows and Prokop. No real surprises there.

Milwaukee has won 6 straight games and are 6-1 on the season. The Wolves suck big time!

The next Admirals home game is Saturday, November 9th, against Chicago, again.

This is a great write up. You fail to mention however that Ads were offsides on 1st goal (missed call) and there was a hand pass on the second goal and it shouldn’t have counted either, hence a lot of make-up/no calls to make up for 2 free goals.

They should call up Hinostroza, then Kemell. Ya, Kemell had 5 pt game, but only 2 pts in prev 6 gms and a -2. Vinnie scored in 4 straight, 6 gm point streak and a +8

Or both and send down a couple guys.

If we send anyone down they gotta clear waivers. The odds of those players slip through is pretty slim imo.

I missed period 1. I was doing something else to about 7:45 or so. The intermission show was a pre-corded interview with a player. There was no time left to discuss what happened in period 1.

I did hear third hand this morning that an online Chicago fan disputed ALL 3 goals in period 1. That was all that I knew until your post.

The same goalie let in 5 against Hershey, so why would I suspect anything wrong in another game where that many goals were scored against him?

Since the first 5 penalties over 2 periods were all against Milwaukee, that was a lot of make up calls. Chicago has a poor PP.

That's fair.......and I DO really like the write ups.

But ya, it was a lot of make up calls after the 2 free goals (which were really obvious, even in real time). Im guessing the refs saw the tape during 1st intermission and saw how bad they were. Then over-compensated, as it completely shifted all calls in the 2nd and 3rd.

Jank would clear. And if you aren't gonna play guys anyways, who cares if they clear or not. Im not convinced Parss and Tomasino both get claimed if sent down together. MAYBE 1 of 2. Tomasino only cause of draft position.

Hinostroza is 30 and a known quantity at the NHL level. We don't need any more tweeners at the NHL level, although he's nice to have in the event of injury issues.

Kemell probably isn't that close to being called up and may not produce if he did get the chance, but at least it would be a look at someone new that has a chance to keep getting better.

He's playing every night and Brunette is not going to bench him. Tomasino definitely gets nabbed, his stats are much better than Tolvanen's were. Parssinen someone like Pittsburgh that needs cheap bodies I could see taking a stab at.
