Well, I realize it's been a rough 6 or 7 years for you guys, but after falling well short of expectations last season surely he was already on the hot seat.

This season surely the expectations are playoffs after the recent moves, so surely being tied for last in the division has him close to being fired.

Thank goodness! One important point to remember about Chiarelli which underscores his badness- he showed up in Boston when a big chunk of the team was already in place and just pulled talent he already knew from Ottawa (Chara and Kelly) to round the team out.

It'd be like plucking BriseBois from the Lightning at the end of the 2020 season and hailing his talent for the Stanley Cup win, when in fact Yzerman did most of the heavy lifting.
