I think Dubas knows he needs a goalie, but who? Fluery? He has a checkered playoff history, IMO. He would be a "maybe" too. Who else?

I agree, because I have said it and I truly believe it, if this team can get a save from anybody, I don't really care who at this point, I think this team can go on a big run because they can score, they have great special team, they have good depth on defense.

If they can get a save I truly think they can go on a run and maybe even win it.

Fluery isn't a maybe, not in the same way Campbell is, and Marazek is not even a maybe he just needs to be fired into the sun.

That's the best use of Domi. Not as a 2C, but as a winger to play opposite of Marchy or Hall. Domi is a lot like a lesser Marchand, so it would be wild to see them playing together. Both on the cycle / playmaking and in the scrums.

The islanders really need to move Varlamov. It would be malpractice not to, really. He’ll fetch a ton and they have a young heir apparent. Dark horse candidate for a huge deadline deal, in my opinion.

goalies don't usually fetch a ton, I don't understand why, you need a good goalie to win, but they don't.

but if Varlamov became a Leaf today I would be quite happy.

Interesting, care to explain?

We have a ton of wingers including several good ones - Laine, Bjorkstrand, Voracek, Nyquist - plus a bunch of kids who need to play to develop - Texier, Chinakhov, Foudy, Bemstrom. We have a great 4th line wing in Eric Robinson. And we will likely add Kent Johnson and Kirill Marchenko to the mix next year. Domi is a wing, and has been a good wing for us this season, but we have a very similar player in Roslovic who costs less and can play some center. But wings are the last thing we want as a return if we trade Domi.

What we need are centers and right D. Or picks to draft centers and right D.

Toronto had to play cap games to fit Gio, how do the Leaf fans who want Domi expect it to work? Retention and taking Mrazek? Id expect Jarmo to get a huge haul in that scenario
