Domi is easliy one of the most irritating players in the league. I mean even when there's no game, he's freaking intolerable. He's like a living caricature.

Has Kenny Holland written all over it.

A player he doesn’t need, and he’ll have an hour press conference, 3 hours before the deadline telling Fans how they’re done. When asked about a goaltender, he’ll give the same puzzled look he’s given for the last 25 years. Like it was a stupid question.

People hate Domi so much that he’s actually underrated at this point. He’s gonna be sneaky good pickup for a few months for somebody because I don’t think the price will be ridiculous like it will be for some other rentals. The fact that there is no commitment here for a club past this spring and that Domi is playing for a new deal (and has been quite good of late) is the perfect conditions under which to get him. He’s still a fantastic playmaker.

Beyond the nostalgia.... it seems to me like a PERFECT guy to put on the LW of John Tavares & William Nylander. A guy who can pass the puck, and maybe get under the other team's skin a little bit.

It also likely "fixes" the depth issue up front, as now Kase, Spezza, and Kerfoot are all theoretically on your 4th line.

If the Leafs are indeed prepared to hold Muzzin out until the playoffs, it's an easy cap fit at 50% (presumably the Leafs will also need to add a d-man). All the reports are that they think Muzzin will be back before, but of course, they can't really come out and say "we're gonna hold muzzin off".

Agreed, as a 3d liner he might end up playing a bit of a Phil Kessel role (from the time when Kessel won in Pittsburgh), getting goals when not facing top checkers and defense.

i am not against adding him, I do not think he will cost any top assets and I have said for a long time that any team that wins a cup has at least 1 guy on their 3rd line that is skilled enough to play in the top 6.

Coleman for Tampa. Kessel for Pittsburg if you wanted to go back to the pre cap days Hull and Robitale for Detroit are some examples of what I am talking about.

Domi has enough skill to play in the top 6 with 32 points in 52 games so having him on the 3rd line would give the Leafs that extra offensive punch that could be the difference in a series.

I am in the minority but I see no issue with adding Domi particularly since like I said he is not likely to cost top picks or prospects

His attitude has been great. No complaints despite not getting rewarded with ice time.

As far as his 200 ft game, it has been a non-issue since he's been at wing all year. The one big thing that changed since his time with the Habs is that he's a lot more comfortable on the wing now. He's gotten a lot better carrying the puck on the wall and distributing from there. One of the best primary assist rates in the league, and it's all from the wing.
Thanks

If this is the cost, I am totally down to get Domi. Feel like he'd fit in well on the 3rd line for the Rangers

Has he been exclusively on LW? Obviously was a C to begin his career, but has he played any RW?
He's played all season at wing, split evenly between the two sides.
