If this is the cost, I am totally down to get Domi. Feel like he'd fit in well on the 3rd line for the Rangers

Has he been exclusively on LW? Obviously was a C to begin his career, but has he played any RW?
I agree. Hus speed would definitely help and his agitate in the playoffs would help.

I could see him in Winnipeg by the summer.
Well the Jets really wanted Domi at the 2013 draft, but he went right before their selection and they ended up with Morrissey so I guess it worked out in Winnipeg’s favour.

That said, if as expected both Copp and Stastny do not return next season, I wouldn’t be against considering Domi. Locking up PLD is the top priority though.

Well if we move Boeser, I would like to pick him up as a UFA to play with his buddy Bo Horvat
Obviously, it would depend on his contract demands

If the price is right wouldn't mind him playing with Tavares and Nylander on the Leafs second line. He grew up cheering for Toronto so maybe he'd turn up a notch or two if we acquired him.

I think TOR would love him for scoring depth and the ability to play top 6 when needed. However there is the possibility that he takes stupid penalties… high risk high reward player.

just want to say I liked him on the Habs, the only thing which was painful was that he wanted to be a center whereas he rather plays as a playmaker from the wing.

For all of us. The guy has a puppy as a profile pic on his Twitter page. Really? I have never rooted against a guy on my team but this dude...

That dog is specially trained to notify him when he has a blood sugar issue, remember that he is a Type 1 Diabetic. That dog may very well have saved him a medical emergency or two.
I can respect that way more than some anonymous poster on the internet without any facts.

People are so simple minded sometimes. Max is not Tie.
Yes Max plays with an edge, but Max has way more skill and is a completely different style of player. You can see by the posts here what a huge shadow Tie casts. Just to show how big of a shadow... Look at the posts about Max and see how many times Tie is mentioned. You will not see this with Foligno, Stastny, Tkachuk, etc.

You are right.. Max is more talented than Tie. But we knew what would Tie bring and Max is still imo a enigmatic player.

Max comes into today's game with 8 assists in 8 games and a +3, clearly a big catalyst for the Jackets, and he still gets barely 10 minutes of ice time, all next to Danforth and Chinakhov.

He could be the biggest steal of the deadline. I hope he gets traded and goes off when he finally gets a chance to play.

Okay fine, I am a terrible person because I didn't know his special dog story. I still find him very annoying even without the dog. Am I still allowed to feel like that or do I have to clear it through some kind of independent panel to make a ruling on it first?

Why isn't CBJ resigning him?
They have like 12 wingers already and Kent Johnson and Kirill Marchenko are on the way. It's a rebuilding squad that is giving priority to younger players.

They might want to extend him actually (I want them to), but in any case they would have to see eye to eye with Domi on his role as a middle six wing that often gets little ice time. There's no way he will agree with that, nor should he. It's an incompatibility issue.

You can like or not like whoever you want. It has no affect on me either way. Just letting you know why he holds his dog in such high regard.
This was just my experience with him, but I met him 2 weeks ago and he was so nice and talked to my son for 10-15 minutes, both T1D hockey players. He could have just said hi and been on his way, but he almost missed the bus it was getting so late. He is a great dude and it is amazing that he can play in the NHL with T1D. Very impressive person, it doesn't matter what you think of his hockey.

Domi is a fairly polarizing player. When he’s on, he can control a game and drag his team with him, but then he can also seem disinterested and take bad penalties when he’s not engaged.

I think Toronto would be a great fit for him. He needs a defined role, surrounded by strong leadership and he excels on the big stage. He naturally likes to play an uptempo, creative game (ahem Toronto) but to maximize his potential he needs to be paired with a strong defensive player and a shooter.

What would we need to pay, Dermott for Domi straight up hockey trade?

Youre triggered by a guy with a dog for his profile picture, that's more annoying than anything Domi could do :thumbu:
