This Domi guy has virtually no trade value at that AAV and pending UFA status.

So Avs offer JT Compher for Domi. Hockey trade. Columbus adds a bottom six C with some scoring chops that does PK. Lower AAV and one year left. Columbus likes term. This isn’t a lot term but it’s another year. AAV is reasonable for what he produces. One less UFA Columbus needs to sign this summer.

When I look at Columbus' roster my 1st thought is hey, they could really use some more bottom 6 players. I really think thats what is holding them back

That would be great for both teams I believe. Even though I am not sure why Debrusk is unhappy in BOS, would he be happier in CBJ ?

It only has to do with his fractured relationship with the management team. Cassidy, the players and him get along great.

I think he would thrive in any other city just like how he has been playing really well this year as well.

I really like him as a player that's why I am asking ! As a VAN fan, I would really like him there. I truly believe the rationale for Garland is strong but not sure what the add would be, same thing for Domi in CBJ :s

Interesting, care to explain?
Top line capable wingers on the Blue Jackets:
Patrik Laine
Jakub Voracek
Oliver Bjorkstrand

Second line capable wingers on the Blue Jackets:
Gustav Nyquist
Alexandre Texier
Max Domi

Third line capable wingers on the Blue Jackets:
Emil Bemstrom
Eric Robinson
Yegor Chinakhov (arguably)

Top-6 capable prospect wingers coming in for the Jackets:
Kent Johnson (altho he may play C)
Kirill Marchenko
Liam Foudy

Fourth line capable wingers on... meh, you probably can figure it out from there,

Suddenly Boeser's QO and his 3.5 higher than a signed DeBrusk is huge. You shed 3.5 million in cap space for next year and get a lot faster.
Ok in that sense for sure, but I guess it's going to be a pain for BOS right ? Or are they confident they ll resign Bergeron ?

Rangers make lots of sense. Can play all 3 forward positions and any of the top 3 lines and would add depth, skill, agitate, speed and still young. His dad being a fan favorite here does not hurt either.

Domi for Kravtsov and Gauthier would be fair?

He'd look good on Tavares's wing

I hope Domi goes to a team where he's a good fit for the playoffs. I think he could really blossom in Boston or maybe Carolina. He's a solid playmaker on the wing who plays with a bit of an edge. On either team, he would be secondary or tertiary playmaker. He would add to the Bruins' ability to get under opponents' skin and add some edge to Carolina.

As a Jacket fan, I just want the best possible return in picks or prospects- likely not depth wings though.

Hell no, Krav worth WAY more, and Gauthier, I prefer his upside.
this aside, again peeps, cap cap cap.
NY should not be buying expiring assets. Should continue to build instead, bottom 6 needs work and there is zero cap available for that now, need to prepare by developing elcs.

Drop Robertson and I feel it’s fair. Leafs solve two problems in one trade
Jump from maybe a 2nd round pick and possibly a b prospect to a 1st at the cost of 2 years worth almost 4 mil of dead cap and the $ owed is higher than the hit... where does Jarmo sign?
