Dodgers, Angels, Rams, Lakers, and Clippers Discussion IV

In a little less than 3 weeks, the Dodgers have gone from 9.5 GB of the giants, to just one back and have the best pitcher in baseball taking the ball tomorrow.

Wait, the Gnats lost again? I was checking the score earlier and it was 1-0 SF in the top of the 9th. Turns out that they lost 7-3 in the 11th.

Brandon Phillips hit a 2-Run bomb in the top half of that inning to go up 2-1, Chapman blew the save in the bottom half and the Reds scored 5 in the top of the 11th.

The Giants were way way overachieving, but this slump has been unbelievable. They were the best team in baseball and they go 4-13 against mostly garbage teams.

Cincy and The Nats are ok squads but not exactly the 27 Yankees.

The White Sox, Rockies, D-Backs and Padres are garbage teams and they went 3-8 against them.

Couldn't happen to a nicer fan base.

@helenenothelen: Even Vinny knows: Scully on Cards' Matt Holliday returning 9 days after appendectomy: "more like a hockey player than a baseball player."

I'm predicting Melo will be a laker and Lebron will be a cav.

No way, Melo has too many other opportunities to win now (Houston, Chicago and Dallas, along with max money with the Knicks). For LBJ, now that Bosh and Wade have opted-out, they will take pay cuts so the Heat can bring in a fourth piece, maybe Kyle Lowry or Luol Deng.

I think Melo wants to go where he's the main man, and I don't see that happening with HOU, CHI or DAL. Sure, with NY maybe, but I also think he likes the idea of replacing a legend like Kobe in LA and the team building around him.

I'm not gonna lie, I would enjoy watching them play together for 2 years, what a dumpster fire that would be.

Draft picks for a couch, lmao. I also thought "Dean would work magic with those second rounders!" when I heard it announced. :snide:

R.I.P. Bobby Castillo. Had a chance to meet him during Dodgers Night at a Kings game a few years back.

wow I'm shocked, my brother and him played on the same baseball team in High School, he was a very nice guy.

R.I.P. Bobbo:(

The Dodgers nail down a 1-0 win over Cleveland, and they are in sole possession of first.
