Yup.

Also, I can't believe I'm watching Laker Girls on Time Warner Cable SportsNet. I hope the RSN would get to air older games in its entirety.

That whole Time Warner deal has been crap from the start. The Clippers' TV deal is up soon and I'm hoping Prime Ticket ponies up the cash to keep them. Would hate to see us relegated to some TWC channel that nobody gets.

the Dodgers sure have a lot of dead weight for a first place team

Beckett, Haren, Perez, League, Crawford, Ethier, Ellis and Butera have all been awful

Well, when there's no salary cap, those "dead weight" players don't seem to matter as much.

Who's the team captain of the Dodgers now? The only team captain I knew was Paul LoDuca.

That's a good question. I'm thinking maybe a captaincy by committee.

Matt Kemp has been named National League Player of the Week for the period ending August 3rd.

So happy that we didn't trade him! :handclap:

I have Verizon FiOS and access to TWCSN, FSW, and PT, but not SportsNet LA. Basically, I have access to the Lakers, the Kings, in addition to the Angels, the Ducks, and the Clippers to name a few, but not the Dodgers.

Also, Clippers fans, would you be able to carry the NBA if your team won its 1st-ever NBA title? I notice on a worldwide basis, more people know about the Lakers, the Heat, Jordan Era Bulls, all three Texas NBA teams, to name a few.

I purposely ask this question because in a baseball context, the Mets once owned NYC, but the Yankees still carry baseball worldwide to the point the Yankee cap is available worldwide. :naughty::thumbu:

Sounds like Greinke misses OC.

Greinke signed a six-year, $147 million deal with the Dodgers in December 2012. Given the way he talks about those two months with the Angels, you wonder if he might consider signing there should he opt out of his contract after the 2015 season, which he may do depending on market conditions.

A native of Florida, Greinke said he enjoyed living in Orange County briefly.

“It’s got to be the best part of L.A., that area,” he said. “It’s really nice over there, at least for my personality type, I guess. The city over there is as great as it gets, the team was good, the stadium and fans were great too. That part of town is the No. 1 thing they have going for them. It’s easier to get to the beach.”

It’s easier to get to the beach? The guy can afford a house that's on the beach. What the hell is he talking about?

I am told by an excellent source that none of the LAD/LAA games will be on DTV. They will be blacking out FSW per MLB rules. Even Angels Fans will miss out. MLB/TWC SUCK!

I would dare to trade him to Miami for Giancarlo Stanton. :naughty:

I think the Marlins could get a much better return than Greinke if they wanted to trade Stanton.

In hindsight I wish the Angels would've kept Greinke instead of signing Hamilton, but it will be interesting to see if he does opt out after the season.

Almost college football season. I'm always real excited this time of year. Let's revisit the moment that all 'Bama fans became Auburn fans in an effort to strengthen the SEC through such a tumultuous time.

Yeah, from what I've heard, Greinke isn't the best guy to be around in the locker rooms. Definite not popular with his team mates, and I'm not talking about JUST the dodgers.

I remember reading about how Greinke has social anxiety disorder, so he was instructed by therapists to always speak his mind and not be concerned with what others think or say. It can lead to some bad feelings and awkward sound bites for sure, but can't fault the guy for speaking his mind like he has been instructed to for the betterment of his own mental status.

Hey, if true, then that would explain a lot.

How is that possible? I understand blackout rules but it shouldn't apply to interleague series when two different providers carry the games. As a DTV subscriber, I'm gonna be pissed if this has something to do with the TWC dispute.:shakehead

Hey I just remembered that I also have social anxiety disorder. So, if I go off on one of you guys, it's nothing personal, just therapeutic.

Mods, let me know if you need this in writing from my therapist.;)

Angels twitter confirmed that all 4 games will not be blacked out on FSW so both sides are good

Why in the world would the Angels feed be blacked out, though? It wouldn't make sense since the Angels are a local team. Only thing is Dodger fans would have to suffer the consequences of listening to the homer Angel commentators. Rojas...ugh. "Big fly for _______!" "Light that baby up!"

**** you!
