No matter which side of the divide you fall on (management is to blame or players are to blame) there is no doubt that this is a toxic work environment. No matter your job or profession, a toxic work environment does not produce optimal results.Ever. We are in for a few seasons of less than satisfying hockey. Something will eventually give. Likely it is management that will pay the price: it is easier to fire the GM and coach than get rid of 23 disgruntled players. Buckle up, this is ugly and will get uglier.

By all trustworthy accounts its the players who should be worried. Dolan is backing Drury. We've already seen 2 seismic in-season trades with more to come.

The whole league was laughing at him after he threw Tkachuckles mouth guard into the stands. "Best play he made all night!"
i know right? Such a p***y with all those playoff goals. Probably gonna have to carry the other players jerseys at the four nations tournament next year. They gonna make him sit next to the coaches on the team bus.

this place has become a clown show. I wish I were strong enough to delete my account, lol.

I found it ironic that @Clown Fiesta said he had enough of the clown show.

I didnt call him a p***y. Im just saying what happened. Im sorry its tough to hear. Kreider will have his night and get his number retired and ill probably shell out 500 bucks to be there, but all good things come to an end. As a longtime fan of his, I dont like how he's carried himself now that the end is near. Just my opinion.

Drury fostered this environment right from hartford to here. My belief is they should bring in Messier as president, have him find a gm, let that gm decide on the coach and then make deals. When the whole team seemingly has an issue here you'll never get this out of the lockerroom no matter how many trades you make. This is on Drury to either fix it by getting on the same page as the players or for him to leave, and i by no means believe all these players should stay but the cancer will never leave unless he gets together with the players and understands their concerns or leaves. Youll always have a subset of the team that's upset, and probably more upset with each trade made. I've run many teams and the first thing you have to do is identify the trigger and deal with it, Drury is the trigger.

There is a big cultural and heavily generational split at work here, even in the comments to the article you see it. Yea they have a “fun” job. Yea they get a lot of money. Yea without actually having any idea what it entails beyond what you imagine, you’d love to swap jobs with any of these people. But to them, this is their life and they’re humans with opinion, needs, etc and they have these jobs because they’re good at what they do and expect to be treated as such.

Treating adult employees like kids is not going to go well. Making the workplace less open, less communicative, less friendly to modern young adults is going to be bad. Regardless of whether you reading about it think it matters, we are literally seeing that it does.

There’s a reason that good companies where people want to work are mostly (with exceptions of course) ones that are open, supportive, communicative, etc. The days of being treated like garbage and knowing your only alternative option is being treated like garbage somewhere else are over. If the rangers treat good people like shit, good people are going to leave and they’re going to end up worse for it. We are watching this process happen right now.

That would be fine too but my thing is that I feel Messier would command a more no nonsense appearance as well as a winning stanley cup pedigree.

I wouldnt mind him either, but you think people are seething now? Just wait until the hire Messier.
