He wanted to promote CapuanoI thought you didn't want an interim?

He had a good run as a HC in the NHL ... much better chance given here than anywhere else. He was only up for part of the job. That ended about 2 -3 years ago. He will be coaching somewhere soon. Bye Bye. I have zero hard feelings .. it was past dueIt was time to make a change, but I still feel badly for DJ.
He was the head coach of an organization run by Eugene Melnyk (an all-time terrible owner) and Pierre Dorion (an all-time incompetent general manager). The cards were stacked against him and I thought, under the circumstances, he did an okay job for a while here. Certainly we've seen worse.
For sure .. DJ should not have been the HC for the past 2 years at the latest. Dorion was a mess ... Director of the Clown show that was the Ottawa SenatorsI think we underestimated how much of a buffoon Dorion was…this is all his mess as far as I’m concerned.

So that random Coyotes "insider" who called this last night was right lol
BadA NY rangers fan here; I come in peace.
As soon as Jacques Martin was brought back into the organization, wasn't this inevitable?
I agree that more should be expected from the players, especially defensively. How has Korpisalo been?
At this point I don't think even Swiftwin knows what he wantsHe wanted to promote Capuano

Hard to tell how Korpi is with the defensive tire fire in front of him. Hopefully we get a better read in the next 56 games.A NY rangers fan here; I come in peace.

Jacques is here to be fired.Won't be long until we want Jacques and Alfie out
Someone who garners respect simply by having had the career he has. I don't know why you find that so confusing.
That decision to keep Capuano is a puzzler. I suppose the "stability" factor might be at play.LETS GOOOO
Odd that Payne is out but Capuano stays for now
Wants to be an unhappy troll like his big brother hereAt this point I don't think even... knows what he wants
And the "Authoritative" part is someone who isn't afraid to bench a star if they aren't playing the right way (See: Spezza in 2003)

Except those teams won their first games with the new coaches and have since maintained a positive record.I'm not expecting a new coach bounce based on the fact that this entire core of young players have all learned the "NHL ropes" playing under DJ and it'll take a while to deprogram all of the bad habits before things can turn around. It's not similar to the Blues, Oilers and Wild situations at all.

Some fans seem to think korpisalo hasn’t been bad. But truth is. He has been. Habit of letting in hilarious goals. Can’t play two good games in a. Row. Will play good and then will immediately sink us.A NY rangers fan here; I come in peace.

Jacques is here for the short term as interim Head Coach; I don't think he wants the permanent job.Jacques is here to be fired.
Staios is here to be fired.
Alfie the same. Life of a sports front office
