don't try to bring facts into the conversation, this is about fan emotions.I agree on the other parts, except, for the injuries part, seemed to never have a healthy team. Wasn’t he missing both goalies, Chychurn, Chabot, Greig for a while post TDL as well as Norris.
We don’t know what Girouxs objectives are to finish his careerWhat shocks me is a that a player like Giroux bought into DJs nonsense. Obviously DJ did a great job in building team cohesion. But, to me, it begs a question: Do these guys care more about the comraderie they've developed, or doing whatever it takes to win the grand prize?
Hopefully, they were so disillusioned by DJ that they come around. Alfie, I think, is someone that can get through to them. We've never seen someone more committed to bringing a winners mentality than Alfie.
Our strongest roster last year came during our second worst stretch.don't try to bring facts into the conversation, this is about fan emotions.
Ok now do the same assessment but pretend Dorion was still the GM. You feel the same way?Have to say I disagree completely.
If anything it's been more than professional, giving DJ a more than honest chance to turn this around, not caving into pressure, letting him coach AFTER the embarrassment that was the Florida game, letting him before Sens fans had the chance to roast DJ right before Christmas at the next home game vs Pittsburgh
I guess I wonder if we start playing better team D if the goaltending will go from bad to at least average. I think it could. Maybe, or hopefully, we will find out.Our goaltending has sucked for so long it's hard to even get a pulse on what a team looks like with a competent tender.
Its a shame that 20 million this summer only got us more of the same.
Post tdl we left our rookie goalies out to dry every single game and played our way out of the playoffs. Chychrun and chabot were both there.I agree on the other parts, except, for the injuries part, seemed to never have a healthy team. Wasn’t he missing both goalies, Chychurn, Chabot, Greig for a while post TDL as well as Norris.

Man. It’s the NHL. Teams are good. What Arizona did to us in the second and third period…. That was teams in two different leagues. And unacceptable. And Martin I THINK believes so too.Have you watched Arizona! much this year? I suspect if you had, you probably wouldn't be acting as though it's shocking they can dominate another team. Would you have been less shocked if say NJD, TBL or heck even Car that had done so?
Heck, we've dominated teams for 20 mins this year, it's a league of parity, if you aren't paying attention to the details, pretty much any team can dominate against you. Thinking that it's just Arizona! is the kind of complacency that allows teams to get dominated.
Injuries will always be the excuse for defenders of this coach. The same coach got a comparable record with Batherson and Ryan playing less than a 1/3 of the season and only having 1 top pairing dman.Post tdl we left our rookie goalies out to dry every single game and played our way out of the playoffs. Chychrun and chabot were both there.
If you can’t play respectable hockey because of a few injuries..that’s poor coaching. Lots of teams have injuries. That don’t self destruct because of them
Injuries man.
No Chychurn and Chabot both got injured post TDL, around second last, to last week of March.Post tdl we left our rookie goalies out to dry every single game and played our way out of the playoffs. Chychrun and chabot were both there.

Injuries man.
The games that ultimately killed our season. That western stretch. Started in Chicago. And then the win in Seattle. Then Vancouver. Then THINK Calgary. That’s the stretch I’m talking about. Where we were absolute dog shit. Like it was just odd man rushes against all game long (this is clearly an exaggeration, there were not 2 on 1s all game long- I legit can’t believe I need to say this) chychrun was definitely there because he scored against Seattle in the one win.No Chychurn and Chabot both got injured post TDL, around second last, to last week of March.
No goalies. Chabot, Chychurn , Greig, Norris, like I said. Not sure if missing others, those are the ones I remember.
If you’re going to make a point, make it an accurate one, at least. Don’t need to exaggerate, to make it look better, when in fact takes away from it.
read the point Genius. I said 6 feet or shorterDon't let facts ruin a good narative

Come on, we were playing goalies #6 and #7 in the organization's depth charts. This is not even remotely close to "lots of teams have injuries that don't self destruct".Post tdl we left our rookie goalies out to dry every single game and played our way out of the playoffs. We were playing goalies 3 and 5 essentially. And leaving them out to dry.Come on, we were playing goalies #6 and #7 in the organization's depth charts. This is not even remotely close to "lots of teams have injuries that don't self destruct".
Yes, injuries are a valid excuse. We're not talking about 13th forwards and depth defensemen.Injuries will always be the excuse for defenders of this coach. The same coach got a comparable record with Batherson and Ryan playing less than a 1/3 of the season and only having 1 top pairing dman.
Man. Saying “Joseph pinto and chabot are out!” Is not helping anyone.Yes, injuries are a valid excuse. We're not talking about 13th forwards and depth defensemen.
We currently have Joseph, Chabot and Pinto out. Yes or no: Would this team be better if you replaced Hamonic, MacEwen and Parker/Kastelic with Chabot, Joseph and Pinto?
Boston lost their two top centers and mcavoy spent some time injured this year. Please don’t look at their record.Yes, injuries are a valid excuse. We're not talking about 13th forwards and depth defensemen.

Can you explain to me how this roster, even with Joseph, Chabot, and Pinto out is underperforming our 2019-2020 team with Tierney as our #1C, Zaitsev on our #1 D pair?Yes, injuries are a valid excuse. We're not talking about 13th forwards and depth defensemen.

Ah yes, if we just change all the numbers to match what you said, then you are right.read the point Genius. I said 6 feet or shorter
Now get on HockeyDB and see listed heights.. And you are clever enough to know, that many stats are inflated.. especially height!!!
so a 6' 0" is most probably 5' 11"..
so correct all the 6' 0" guys.. correct all the 6' 1". And you end up at a fair amount of 5' 11" to 6' 0"
And even at 6 foot, at best you can carry 190 lbs before it bogs you down. Now play a physical game and see how long you last.
@BondraTime please stop drawing joy from Stugatzes.. You are one of the few guys on here with a brain in your head
You said Norris was only injury post trade deadline, I was just correcting that nothing else. The games that ultimately killed our season. That western stretch. Started in Chicago. And then the win in Seattle. Then Vancouver. Then THINK Calgary. That’s the stretch I’m talking about. Where we were absolute dog shit. Like it was just odd man rushes against all game long (this is clearly an exaggeration, there were not 2 on 1s all game long- I legit can’t believe I need to say this) chychrun was definitely there because he scored against Seattle in the one win.
I can’t give you an exact date on chabot being out. But he was also there.
Those games were not on Soogard
In FACT in that stretch the games we were respectable in were the ones where the goalies stood on their head lol. We hung each out to dry.
And even if you say “well. Chabot was out in x game”. You should still be able to play respectable hockey without
I’m reading he was injured march 29. So…. Well after that utter collapse lmfao.
He missed two games at the end of the collapse. Is he was there to Chicago and Vancouver. I think our two worst games of the season
And AGAIN. I actually don’t give a f***. Couple injuries should not make a good team implode. Should definitely make a bad team with bad coaching implode tho. Which is what happened
f*** sakes the team isn’t even good when it’s healthy! The org finally had enough and we are actually healthy right now. Go watch the last few games. The team is healthy.
Disclaimer RELATIVELY healthy!!!
